I just scored a motor like this, sort of a "barn find" without the barn! Cover not as nice as the one shown here but the motor itself was MINT under that cover. All I had to do was file and gap the points and she fired right up after years sitting. Perfect compression, starter and solenoid working perfectly. Coils good. Really nice simple motors with a separate coil and points for each cylinder. No stator or powerpack; just connect 12V to the coils via the terminal strip and she'll run.
How did this turn out? I just scored one for free myself like you said opened it up and it was clean! Haven't fired it yet but I'll keep you posted how
those 45-60hp battery ignition motors were so cool. automotive type... super easy to work on, and because its 12v starts instantly in virtually any weather!
+K Saldanha Suggest you get an engine manual for the year of your motor. Lots of good instructions on do-it-yourself adjustments and repairs. I saw this on a brief google search: th-cam.com/video/2YCNLpp9lWk/w-d-xo.html
Tune-up is as simple as an old lawnmower that has points under the flywheel, times two!. You can test each coil by connecting the + terminal to a battery and then touching a jumper wire from the Neg terminal to ground - every make-and-break action should result in a spark from the coil's tower terminal to ground. You have two good coils and points that open and close with clean contacts and you're off and running.
+Tony Mat: Actually you can hook all the wires up from the ignition switch harness and it will work. Basically there are some wires that are not required like the temp., tach and alternator wires for the motor to run. The engine harness (wires on the motor) terminal block and the ignition harness are matching color codes so just match wire colors at the terminal block for correct hookup.
Clean and gap those points to 0.015 and make sure there is no corrosion between the points and breaker plate. Also, I would also install new condensers. Then I would check the wiring between the points, stator, and ignition coils. If you still have no spark, the coils may be bad. New coils are still available, but are very expensive, around $180 each. On my 1983 Chrysler 45hp (457H3P), I ended up using automotive coils purchased from Amazon for $15 each, and used zip-ties to secure them. It now starts up and purrs like a kitten... Hope this helps you buddy!
I just might sell the one I have. Though it's so funky I may run it myself on the back of a 16 ft center console. I'm debating whether to buy a power trim for it.

I have this same motor and fuel fumes are building up under the top how do I adjust this?
J'habite en France, j'ai eu le même moteur Chrysler 55HP de 1969 sur un Rhone Verre RV12. Très bon moteur, facile d'entretien et puissant.
Great vid, good to see it running, how are parts availability these days, anything interchangeable with other brands please?
I have inherited two of these with a boat I picked up - any help I can get to tune up or set the gears - would be most appreciated

This was a motor donated to our club years ago. We sold it soon after this video was posted. I’m sorry but I can’t advise you on your issue.
What wires did you hook up to run it on the stand. And what are ther wires you have disconected?

Clean and gap the points! That's all I had to do with the 55 HP I just sold.
