They definitely are pretty awesome! Old but reliable! No computers to fail.

a steering wheel/gear puller is NOT for balanced 2 stroke flywheels. Didn't see any torque wrenches come out in your other vids either. also, why swap points when you can just get a kit for these and keep the other as a spare? really simple to fix. you really need the manual to synch the cam roller with the throttle cam correctly to get a good consistent idle. im sure you found the coils are NLA, but ive used OMC ones that are still made. cheers nice effort.

Thanks for the reply! This is my first boat motor ever, I honestly don’t know a whole lot about them, I do know I could have done things quite a bit differently but I had never touched something like this before. I swapped the points from a known running motor with low compression in one cylinder and didn’t need to order new ones, but will order some extras later.

    Sometimes some crimes
    Go slipping through the cracks
    But these two gumshoes
    Are picking up the slack
There's no case too big, no case too small
When you need help just call
    Ch-ch-ch-Chip 'n Dale's
    Rescue Rangers
    Ch-ch-ch-Chip 'n Dale
    When there's danger
    No, no, it never fails
    Once they're involved
    Somehow whatever's wrong gets solved
    Ch-ch-ch-Chip 'n Dale
    Rescue Rangers
    Ch-ch-ch-Chip 'n Dale
    When there's danger
    Oh no, it never fails
    They'll take the clues
And find the where's and why's and who's
    Ch-ch-ch-Chip 'n Dale
    Rescue Rangers
    Ch-ch-ch-Chip 'n Dale
    When there's danger
    Ch-ch-ch-Chip 'Dale

I had a whole parts motor so I just used those ones. But Amazon has condensers and any automotive place may have some around that are used in distributors on automobiles.

WHERE ON THE ENGINE CAN I ADD THE MOTOR OIL, AND DOES IT HAVE A DIPSTICK?

    • @TJS-Garage
      @TJS-Garage  ปีที่แล้ว

This is a two stroke motor so oil is injected into the engine, but with old two strokes like this one you mix it into the gas. This one is a 50:1 mixture

What size jaw puller is that? 8" or 10"?
