Web ID: 100106815 It's a great, comfortable cot with a handy organizer, but it can be a pain to get both crossbars to attach to the frame. We found an easy trick that has saved us time and headaches. Here's how to put this cot together quickly, and with close-up views. #Camping #unboxing
Wow, that’s so helpful. Thank you very much for creating this video. Keep up the good work.
Oh my God! Thank you so much!😊 I was about ready to burn the cot
I feel your pain. And you're welcome.
Thanks dude. Should've been obvious but I thought the head and foot support bars were too long. Just didn't have the cot taut enough
Took me awhile to figure it out, too.
This video is a lifesaver! Thank you so much!
I'm glad it helped. Have fun!
I wasn't having alot of luck with your method so I flipped the cot over and was able to grab the legs and spread them far enough to the point I could then step on the joint of the brace and the cot to pop them together
Wow, good idea. I may try that.
Great tricks! Thank you!
Awesome trick. Thanks
Thank you Sir, you save my life!
Happy to help
Excellant hint but something you should have mentioned though was ... do not slip and hit the wife in the head with the hammer which would mean that you would end up sleeping outside of the tent that night , lol.
What’s the easy way to get the first crossbar off?
come at it from underneath with a hammer
No other person or tools needed. Stand the cot up on end and put your foot on the cross bar and pull up on the cot to lock into the stud. Repeat for the other side
Might work for some.
I just bought two used ones, after setup the whole cot sways back n forth from end to end. Any ideas to attach something to stop this? I get sea sick.
Check for something loose around the cross braces. I'm not an expert. I just noticed that this was the best way to assemble them.
Now that it has been a year, has the canvas stretched with use? Enough to make this setting up easier?
Actually, no, it hasn't.
Any ideas where to find replacements if you break one of the “buttons”???
Sorry, not a clue
what are you supposed to do if you are by yourself?
Yeah, that might be a challenge. The idea, though is to put enough pressure in the cot to expand it a bit more so you can maneuver the crossbar onto the end peg.
Do it by yourself. Just get a stout stick, bar, hammer like the fellow just described and use leverage. Many years in the Marines, setting up these same style of cots taught us that.
We will be returning them tomorrow. We bought 2 of them today. We are both in our 60's, and just don't have the strength to put these together. This video didn't help us. We also bought 2 mattresses for these cots, which we will be returning also. $400 purchase for all.
A big waste of our time. 70 miles one way.
That's a long way to drive. Maybe stop and camp overnight before you return the cots.
