    Good explanation on EV buying. To add to that EV's are considerably heavier than ICE cars therefore needs thicker rubber which in turn makes it more expensive while changing the tyres. Also, if there are more EVs on the road it may deteriorate the conditions of our roads. Therefore long range EVs are not really environmental friendly. Many European countries have made the mistake on investing only on EVs and I think they will regret in the long run. While India's vision is also look into alternative fuels which is great thinking.

    The problem with hydrogen is that, it takes whole lot of electricity to create hydrogen, then add to that the energy spent on transportation and storage. Storing hydrogen is not as easy as storing petrol/diesel.
    Then add to that the efficiency losses while converting hydrogen to electricity.
    Why go through all these troubles just to convert it to electricity to turn the motors when you can charge the battery and do the same thing?

    • @aforexplore
      @aforexplore  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes! production of green hydrogen uses electrolysis method which needs electricity but the latest technology silicon oxidation for hydrogen generation generates hydrogen rapidly at room temperature and without need for an external source. lets hope for a better world 👍🏻

    Thank you for sharing. But it's better to go for ev cars in 2024. The hydrogen technology cars to get popular it will take another 5-8 years minimum. As you mentioned like ev charging station. We need hydrogen filling station. Where the storage plan installation is very expensive. Than an ev. Because hydrogen need to be store in Liquid state where a low temperature need to be maintained. Also there lots other research going for hydrogen powerd IC engine. Which is more efficient than hydrogen fuel cell.
    The final one is how can we generate hydrogen. 3 method. Using electrolysis which need electric energy then the cost will be more for hydrogen. Other one chemical process where it is not environment friendly. Last one green energy. Using energy from windmill, solar, hydro, etc. So who ever see this can decide which car to buy.

    Some of Your facts are wrong. The first Tesla product, the Roadster sports car, debuted in 2008, followed by the Model S sedan, which was introduced in 2012, and the Model X SUV, which launched in 2015.
    Tesla Semi is an electric truck

    • @aforexplore
      @aforexplore  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sorry for not mentioning that!Its a Semi truck not a full size truck.The Tesla Semi has a range and cargo capacity that make it suitable for certain trucking needs, but it may not be suitable for all routes and heavy loads, and its high price is a concern.
      our electric grid is already overburdened. That much extra power would cause major issues also the huge spike in electricity demand.
      demerits includes
      1.Charging Infrastructure Needs Work.
      2. The Batteries Are Heavy.
      3. Limited Range
      4.Electric vehicles suffer range loss during the winter. (Usually trucks need to travel long distance in harsh environment conditions)Lithium-ion batteries don't perform as well in the cold, so they have to be kept at their ideal temperature, which uses a lot of juice (even when the vehicle is not in operation.)
      5.Established semi truck manufacturers count on experienced mechanics to keep their vehicles on the road, and parts availability is an important factor.
      6. Long Time to Charge

  • @aforexplore
    @aforexplore  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    One the major reason to consider hydrogen car is
    Recharging time -
    Hydrogen can be refilled within 3 to 5 minutes.
    But recharging an EV car needs minimum 8 to 12 hours in normal charging.( fast charging may cause over heating of battery)
    Fast charging 60kWh battery ( approx 300 km mileage) at 150kW rapid charging station EV car need minimum 20 min to 1 hour

    Mirai is discounted for 40%. Hydrogen fuel refill stations have capacity is only 50-60 vehicles (full tank). Much less efficiency as competed to BEVs. So its still silly,
    Electricity -> hydrogen -> Electricity. So multi process, more efficiency loss. Hydrogen is a ticking bomb, much risky than battery vehicles.

    While bigger batteries allow drivers to travel farther between charges, they also make the cars heavier, more dangerous, more expensive, and worse for the planet. The "range anxiety" that has resulted in massive batteries is another reason EVs don't work as a replacement for petrol cars

  • @stan6523

    - hydrogen is highly inflammable
    - hydrogen vehicles are very expensive
    - hydrogen to be filled full tank is expensive compared to a full tank gas
    - where are the infrastructure - hydrogen filling station.. you are misguiding, saying that hydrogen can be easily obtained from water..

    Today renewable sources, such as, solar and wind energy are used for water electrolysis to produce hydrogen which releases zero carbon emissions and is a sustainable way of production. Water electrolysis using renewable sources will play a pivotal role in energy transition from fossil fuel-based sources.

    The World's Automotive Market Is Unprepared To Fully Adopt EVs. Toyota is concerned that switching to pure electric vehicles is not practical in the near future. Outgoing CEO Akio Toyoda held the opinion that EVs are simply “overhyped” and that having too many of them could potentially be problematic.
