Bought my first fixed gear in 2015. I didnt know anything about the scene or culture I just liked the clean bike aesthetic and my BMX bike wasnt great for getting around town. I ate shit the first time I rode that bike and honestly I got ripped off buying that $100 clapped out craigslist conversion. Slowly found the old fixed gear videos and learned about the culture that followed it. 2017 I became a courier for a while and REALLY immersed myself in it. Changed my life for sure, I couldn't imagine life without my bikes.

The good times are killing me is why I started. I remember working an internship at a bike shop when a colleague showed 14 yr old me that video. I came back home and needed to build my first conversion asap. I became hooked and here I am with a completely new life influenced by this amazing bike i have.

I think Terry's hotline series inspired a new style of long form fixed gear videos which are appealing to people outside of the community as well. His videos have definitely inspired me while living in Tokyo and trying to showcase the Tokyo fixed community as well.
It's true. His videos are very unique and terrifying to watch at times. Would love to ride in Tokyo.

All the skate rats in my old neighborhood rode fixies and got me into it in 2010, traded this dude a skateboard for a frame and put together a Janky bike that I rode for miles to hangout with friends. It got stolen. I just bought a cheap fixie yesterday and started riding for the first time in 6 years!
