@@remmy100 yes and he has 5 books coming in 2024. Isom 3, Yaria, Alphacore 2, Goodyng, and an Unannounced Chuck Dixon Project. There's also many other Unannounced projects in the works. By 2026 he could reach his goal of putting out 1 or 2 books a month

The customers dont have 100$ a month to spend on bad books, full of 3d assets, traced characters, and piss poor writing without storytelling, because that what it costs to get it in peoples hands on average.

Nobody in there right mind is going to mistake his comic for a ministry. Imo he will win but since its court anything can happen.
It's not about just mistaking. It's the trademarked name. Selling hats with isom on it is infringing on a trademark that's been around for 20 years

Good Shepard's registered trademark covers use of the word "Isom" in any published periodical form (i.e. that includes magazines, which comics are a type of). Not that they would, but what if Good Shepard wanted to make a comic-sized religious tract based on the International School of Ministry? They couldn't because EJ's Isom is already squatting in that space. They will end up changing the name.
@@InkWiseStudios You can still use trade marks since they follow the same rules for copyright. It's going to be extremely hard to argue that him using the name is losing them any revenue. You can't trade mark a word. Other companies are also using it.

Is it a case of suing over a single name having the same letters as the initials of a longer multiple word name? Isom does not equal I.S.O.M.
How come Marvel didn't sued Eric? because all his characters 1:1 copies of Marvel characters, i didn't knew people able just to outright copy Marvel In USA.
Then EVERYONE would be able to sue Marvel in reverse and theyd lose more.
You can argue most characters the past 25 years can be compared to anything before it.

How are they 1:1? Not in the least. They're superhero tropes but those are present both in Marvel, DC, the Indie scene etc. Archetypes are not copied. If not DC & Marvel would be incessantly sueing each other.
Technically I guess they are not copies, but the are so generic and similar to Marvel & DC characters that it's embarrassing. This has to be one of, if not the worst attempts of all time to create a universe of unique characters. It's a complete embarrassment.
