One of the best in-person like advise out there. Honest and realistic advise. This was much needed in the interest of individuals and Canada. Thanks for this. Hope people take your suggestions seriously and do the right thing.
The narrator of this informative video demonstrated impressive wisdom, competence, and professionalism. I appreciate her honesty regarding the sensitive topic of refugee claims. I will share this video with friends to highlight that temporary foreign workers, including those from Punjab regions in India and Pakistan, are generally decent, honest, hard-working, and law-abiding taxpayers, much like most Canadians. We should empathize with their challenges during these difficult times.
I wish more people can listen to you. I know a few that have taken this route. I don't know if they are going to be successful. I highly advise against taking this route.
This is an excellent video. My perspective is that people also should consider opportunities beyond their current situation and outside of Canada. Many countries are actively seeking skilled immigrants, and if you are one of them, there are places offering better housing, better education, a lower cost of living, and, most importantly, a better quality of life. Often, people get trapped in a cycle, focusing solely on obtaining permanent residency. However, even once you achieve it, as time passes and you near retirement, you might realize that you haven’t accomplished as much as you could have, due to the bureaucratic system in place. So, think outside the box. If possible, explore better opportunities elsewhere. You don’t have to be a victim of the system.
What she is saying is absolutely right.Even though if you ran out of all options staying in Canada. You can go back home and build skills and you can come back to Canada.Infact, you will have advantage over other candidates when you apply for immigration in 2-3 years, given the fact you have Canadian education and perhaps Canadian experience.I know it’s not easy for one to go back after spending so much money, but be positive and things will work out for you guys.Best of luck!!
Just the fact that she had to make this video for temporary workers, students etc..asking them not to file refugee claims shows that these individuals who are attempting to apply for refugee status do not deserve to be in Canada. This provision is for real refugees. Meaning in the dictionary, "a person who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution, or natural disaster."
She is correct. Go back home country, do a professional graduate degree, gain some experience. You will add points and apply for PR from there. You are already ahead with a Canadian degree and experience
Gain skills in infrastructure building Wait for war to end. Ukrainian economy is going to open enough opportunities for many people in coming years Learn their language skills Whole world will pour money in Ukrainian economy soon
Whatever she said is true. The stress is real. Look out for yourself and play the long term game. To be frank, you only need to master the subjects till high school and probably learn, practice and specialize in a specific area for a year or two to make a decent living. Get to $0 net worth(out of debt) as safely and as soon as possible. Create a vision and work towards it. You don’t need a new car and big house. Find employment, self employment. Stay near the job. Pay for your share of rent with good roommates. Save and invest in target retirement date funds as much as possible and get to your 100K or 200K in 5 to 10 years. Your needs will be covered at that point. Then you can decide what else to do.

I agree what she is saying, refugee claim might sound easy but consequences are huge.

Thoughtfully made resource. This should be shown throughout news sources.
