Untill 3 minutes of the video, I was trying to figure out what you mean by "scavenging pump". right at 3 minutes, when you defined what it does, I was like "damn... lol" thanks a lot for sharing this experience.
Sir i have bullet machismo 350 cc bullet 2004 model i m facing big problem for that when i do start my bullet engine oil comes from breather pipe. I have change cylinder kit but problem is same. What can i do pls sir help me pls
Enjoying the video thank you.I have an issue with wetsumping, even with piston at TDC I can fill a coffee take away cup after a few days of sitting. Is this an issue with my oil pump not sealing correctly? Any ideas on what I could do or is this just normal? Bikes a 1999 350 bullet EFI. Other than the wet sumping, the bike runs very well.
Oh wow, a coffee cup full? No that's not right at all, especially with piston at tdc, check your oil level and all the seals including the rubber/cork one at the crankcase bolt and lap in your pump faces, check for scoring and pitting and obvious excessive wear as you disassemble it.
I was travelling at somewhere between 55 and 60 mph for about 8 miles maybe. I believe however, that the main reason for the seizure was because on stripping I discovered the bike had already had an oversize piston fitted and I don't think it had been allowed to bed in properly and the piston to barrel clearance was tighter than recommended for an aluminium piston and iron barrel
Yes, saw your other vids and i understand.. need more coffee here.. the suff you are using to polosh is simply car polish? I also would be hesitant to use valve paste for the same reason you mention.. Where/how did you make/get the rubber suction tool?
That's correct yes, lapping in is purely to get the best mating surface to ensure an oil tight seal so it's more efficient. The polish was autosol which isn't made any more, there's one called autochrome but I don't know if it's the same. The suction tool is simply a valve lapping tool, they come with two different sized rubber cups either end.
Brilliant nothing better than seeing a good visual and this is an excellent video as are the others you have done. thanks very much
Chris Palmer Thankyou, hope you found it useful.

Gives a feel sometime how things get intricate without special tools.
Hi,
an awesome video. one must appreciate the level of deep-dive of lapping the oil pump face. Gives a feel sometime how things get intricate.
Thanks, glad you found it useful.

Sir being these oil pump vary in size on which side we have to place smaller oil pump..
Front side.
Hi Spidiq, May I ask at what speed were you riding and for approximately how long before this seizure happened please? Thanks

Hi... 500cc oil pump can fix 350cc?
Yes
yes Senthil, Raja From Tiruvarur
But, the oil pump is the best lubricated part of the bike, how can it give problems and require 'lapping'?
