I've been playing my Evan recently, and I don't really know how my strategies compare for DPS, but there's some notes I want to mention. The first is that the Evan is excellent at taking out larger maps. I sometimes train att Mr. Alli monsters in the 130 levels to farm up familiars for a little bit of funding, and my Evan is one of the only classes I've made that can manage that map effectively. You mentioned a little bit of this, but not enough to my tastes. Being able to set up the Onyx Dragon in one location, fire in another, have Evan himself attacking multiple platforms with his own large-area attacks, and Mir's skills taking out yet another area... It's difficult to maintain but very effective. For Hyper Skills, I actually didn't go with any of the speedy abilities. I prefer just altering between the three as needed, rather than trying to alternate between two. Even the abilities that seem at first glance "weaker" often have strong advantages - Thunder Dive, you didn't mention, allows the orbs to drop off of platforms and so is effective for clearing out lower platforms without having to go down there. The difficulty of this class comes in when you try to use the correct fusion skill in every instance. I think trying to alternate between Earth Breath and Earth Dive is a rather ineffective way to play the class - particularly when mobbing, because in many circumstances Earth Dive is complete overkill in a small area. I'd also like to point out that there are some times when you want to leave Mir's regular skill running for a couple seconds before turning it into a fusion skill - turning it to a fusion skill gives it its own duration, so is useful to leave it as is if you're moving around and won't be in a good place to use a different skill for a little bit, or in some other niche applications. As for the timing on Magic Debris, what I tend to do is I use it after using Dark Fog. Which might be kind of obvious, but the thing is, after using it there's usually not anything around you anyway so casting Debris in-transit means that it's low DPS and high range works to your best advantage. Probably won't kill much, but at the very least it can annoy far-off monsters and make them walk towards you. I don't really concern myself with how many debris are present at any given time - it's nice if there's more but it's not worth paying attention to. I'm not quite sure how it stacks up DPS-wise for bosses - it is a fair number of hits so it might be worthwhile, but I haven't really tested it. I just figured I'd give my thoughts. Maybe you or someone else might find them useful. I'm no pro at this game though, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

How does that Mir hyper skill the flying one? Does it act as a mount until you use the hyper beamish attack or does it automatically have some sort of time limit?
Once you use it, you mount Mir. Once mounted the 10 second duration begins counting down. So no matter what you do, the moment you use the skill, it'll last for 10 seconds. I wish it worked like Aran's adrenaline because then you could fly for 10 seconds to get into position, and they could have a separate counter for the attack itself. Aran's can extend adrenaline by using attacks until it's about to run out, then use the big tornado, or the giant axe.

Not all of them. Kanna, Jett, beast tamer are pretty different. Evan should still be somewhat relevant. But I am redoing the series to be updated and easier to watch. I'm not a fan of training Evan, but I love their bossing. The only time I could say I like the look of Evan training is when watching strong people train with it. Since more skills become useful to train with.

I'm not sure, though on my Evan, if I double click my character and choose mount, it's listed there. Maybe I did the quest a long time ago though, not sure. I hope you figure it out though! Read online that you need to talk to mir about the saddle being too small, then talk to kenta in aqua. But who knows, maybe they give it for free now.
Battle Mage, Evan, Illium, and Bishop (when using 150 hyper skill), all have little to no delay on their teleports. As for why the other mages aren't the same way, not sure. I know for sure Battle Mage's excuse is that teleporting is a crucial part of their damage output. For Bishop, it's not 100% of the time they can have it, so it's balanced. For Evan and Illium, I'm not sure what their excuse is.
I don't remember how to get the Mir mount, something about talking to Mir about the saddle being too small, then talking to Kenta in aqua. Otherwise the mounted skill I used in the video is the lvl 170 hyper skill. Press the skill once to mount, and press and hold it to fire a beam of flames.
KyoWantsCute Just got mine to 4th(lvl104) idk if its just me, and wish the burst didn't have a delay on it, other than that, it shines at 4th/5th job. Still researching on how to properly play the class. Nice video.
1st to 4th job is not the best experience. Evan's insane mobbing starts improving with fire breath / wind blades at 4th job that can practically map clear. At 5th job he gets some useful skills too (elemental breath 50 sec CD map clear). I main a lv 232 Evan and mobbing is so easy just standing at one spot at cave of lower path arcana.

@@annawithluv Oh! Hm...is it star force monsters? Perhaps you aren't using power elixirs or even normal ones. If you can't afford them, head to NLC, they have potions that are basically elixirs there. Otherwise, work on link skills, and legion to boost hp and mp.

I always wanted to make an Evan but I didn't enjoy them prior to the revamp. I like them after the revamp, and my Evan is my second main now. To each their own.

There used to be a glide skill for Evan when you jumped, you'd ride on Mir, don't know of it required the saddle, but it was there and it was amazing
Also Dark Fog used to be really good, it used to be a full map attack

Evan's still like he is in this video. A combo class with some fun bossing, but training it with my level of funding isn't too fun haha.

why is there no teleport delay for evans but there is for explorer mages? is it a bug?
