  • Top 10 Best EDC Fixed Blades as of 2022. I try to update this list every year once I have several new ones. I went out in the woods and tested the edc fixed blades that were on the list last year along with the ones I got this year and picked the best of the best from the bunch. These are all awesome choices, I wouldn't be disappointed with any of them. I have reviews on some of them as well. Do you carry an edc fixed blade and if so which one is your absolute favorite? Let me know in the comments and let me know you want to see my under $100 list of edc fixed blades next.

I loved this review, thank you for sharing. I am very interested to see a review on the Dawson range of edc fixed knives. Particularly the reckoning model but the handyman and the huntsman interest me greatly too. I have held a handyman once and it felt seriously good to my hand and they are made from magnacut steel. All the very best and i look forward to your next posting.

The design of the WTG Klapatche blew my mind, but can't find it here in The Netherlands (Europe) or stores that will send it here.
Thnx again for the great content, good info and good lists!

Great list, put some new knives on my radar. My current go to is the benchmade hidden canyon with a scout carry sheath.

My favorite edc fixed blades come from DCC Deep Cutz Cutlery. Great blade shapes, unbelievably thin grinds, amazing ht, high end steels, comfortable handles, hand made, and a reasonable price. I'm sure you have herd of him but thought I'd share my fav.

Can definitely recommend the Bradford Guardian 3 with sheepsfoot blade. I have one and it's my absolute EDC fixed blade go-to (just ahead of my Brisa Bobtail). I don't have a problem with Bradford leather sheaths. I like the softness/flexibility of leather against my body when carrying all day - IMHO kydex can sometimes be just a bit too stiff for EDC. Just a small amount of maintenance and they keep going - I just use leather conditioner every now & then. Sharp blades all.

I've always been a pocket folding knife carrier but recently I ordered an Izula 2 and I love it so much that it's sending me down a rabbit hole along with videos like these into the world of EDC fixed blades that I've been missing out on. I think now that once you start you usually don't want to go back. I think the backpacker pro or guardian 3 are next on my list.

Very nice, bought mine over 10 years ago...it's a great little knife. I recently got into fixed self-defense focused blades and instead of trying to rely on a knife to do too many things, I carry one for utility and the other as a Get-Off-Me knife.

I have a few of the knives you showed, and I love them. I have that Backpacker pro, the Gaurdian 3.5 in Magnacut, the LT Wright Patriot, and I have a Creeley made knife, but it's to big to edc. It's a woodlore style bushcrafter with a 5" blade of nitro-v.
Bark River..well...they have enough of my money to put Mike Stewarts grand kids through college.😂 I'm up to 2 dozen of their knives.

  • @lionknives3

The Whiteriver Backpacker pro sheath should have a bigger hole on the kydex. You have to be really careful when put the knife back in the sheath. Just a great list Nick! Agree on the Mako, should be a FFG

My prediction for 2022 trends was exactly the rising popularity of the EDC fixed blade. The second was the return of the Balisong for EDC and the ultimate fidget factor. Will Hirsch has just made this possible with the creation of the Vulp trainer Balisong. Regardless of how you may feel about a Balisong. The fidgetability of Balisongs is unsurpassed.

I have lots to say about the quality of LC Wright knives. The one I purchased was not finished completely. The spine was not finished to 90 degrees as specified. I phoned and talked to LC himself. He is just an arrogant Poor business man and does not produce a knife worth it's price tag. Very disappointed. I will never buy another LC Wright knife at any price. I will not accept one free of charge.
