The Almost Perfect Pitch - Wild Camping Among Crags - Hilleberg Allak 2 4 season tent.
In this weeks video I head out to bag another summit among the spectacular central mountain range in the lake district national park. I test out some new equipment including Atom Packs EP50 mo and the thermarest vesper 20 quilt and give you my thoughts upon initial use.

Great pitch, just managed to fit the tent in there! Love that feeling of being on a mountain and watching the day hikers going back down and leaving you all by yourself 👍

Thanks so much for stopping by. The allak is undeniably a very heavy tent at almost 4kg. But the joy it bring me is unachievable with any other winter tent !

Another great video Luke, and what a fantastic spot you found! 👍😁 I like the look of your tent by the way, the Allak 2. Will be looking for a good 4 season tent for next winter, can I ask how do you find it? I need a two person as I take my dog along, seems to be plenty of room inside? Is the vestibule a good size for storage and cooking? It has two is that right? I see it's got a large price tag and weighs fairly heavy at 3kg but is it worth it in your opinion?
Am so looking forward to getting out wild camping in the lakes again but have been unable to due to work. Hopefully sometime in March, watching your videos make me want to even more mate!
Hi Sean firstly thanks so much for stopping to watch and engage with a comment really appreciated! It's a brilliant 4 season tent an absolute dream to spend time in and more room than you could ever need on a solo. It's not an all rounder there's certainly camps where I would choose to take a smaller lighter tent but for comfort and safety it's perfect. It comes with a heavy price tag and i will admit the hype of hilleberg has ramped them up over the years but its also next level hand made quality that you won't find with any other brand. I would look at the staika or the unna they are also brilliant sizes and come with a a little less cost. If you have any more questions feel free to ask 😊 all the best !

Got my terra nova laser competition 2 to get me through the finer weather. Just can't wait to have the chance to get out again and hit those lake district fells 😊 All the best 👍
