No argument here, he “taught” me how to play! (Im the same fashion Thunders and Ronson taught him, by listening to him play, and figuring out the chords. (Although, I learned a lot from them, Jimi Hendrix, Robert Quine, and Johnny Ramone) but it was Jonesy that I was trying to emulate when we started out first punk band in1988 when I was 14 Long Live Steve Jones!!!
I saw him live during '89 Foundation Forum in LA. Performed and Axl Rose jumped on stage to do "I Did U No Wrong." My God, what a moment. And he was a pile of rock and roll hotness, standing there shirtless with skin-tight pants on.....and that HAIR! This is easily in my Top 10 best albums of all time. So underrated!!!! Some of my best memories ever.....Ah, the hair band days.
When this song was released,Steve did an interview with Hard n Heavy video mag. I'd bought the VHS (lol) and that was how I found out about SJ the rocker. The 6-7 minute interview is here on YT.
This album is one of the most underrated albums of the 80s Rock ´N` Roll Albums. If you ask people about the 80s and Rock ´n´Roll the answer always will be GnR, Motley Crue etc. For sure they dont know this album.
One of the best songs ever!! and the video kicks some SERIOUS ass too. Back in the days when MTV was Music Television and music was REAL. I wish bands today STILL made music as good as this. The European Headbangers Ball is an awesome show. ROCK ON!! I'm a FREEDOM FIGHTER!!!

HAPPY (60th) BIRTHDAY, STEVE!!! (September 3, 1955) He is an English rock guitarist, singer and actor, best known as guitarist with Sex Pistols and Iggy Pop. He was ranked in Rolling Stone's list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time"
If I recall,Steve Jones is also secondary guitarist on Andy Taylor ex Duran Duranfirst solo album THUNDER if anyone cares....this album was produced by Ian Astbury along with Billy Duffy as it was kinda a CULT offshoot project. Friggen awesone album.
Steve jones az egykori Sex Pistol ráérez a gázolajszagú rock and rollra.Hölgyeim és uraim, rockerek:ez a nóta nagyot ütött '89-ben.Nálam pedig most is 2014-ben-Örök klasszikus!
No one compared, no one alike. Steve Jones is an "one and only"... Whish I`d seen him on Sunset last week when we`re around (holliday in LA).. ! - No, - kidding he was - and still is an huge Inspiration ! JON/Norway
Steve Jones endorsing the look and sound of LA metal.Iggy Pop did aswell with songs like Cold Metal.Steve Jones did the guitar on that aswell. But Steve Jones is still a punk.
This is utterly and unashamedly straight up fun hard rock complete with cheesy lyrics and hair blowing in the 1980s wind machine. It is nothing more than music to get high and get girls to😅..the opposite of what the Pistols were about, but it is fucking brilliant. He might not be unique but Steve Jones is a great front man. Obviously I'm glad that Johnny fronted the Pistols and with Steve on vocals they would have been a very different(or depending on how you look at it a very samey) band but I can't deny that I really like the few Pistols songs with Jones on vocals. Lonely Boy could even be one of my favourite Pistols songs. Anyway this song is as catchy and as rock and roll as they come.
I was watching an interview with steve yesterday he said he wished he hadn't of tried to sing in such a rock / metal style but he was trying to have the sound of all the other bands etc at the time lol & the same with the video ive still got this album somewhere haven't listened to for years
Toujours pour toi frangin du rock et les Mustangs, j'en croise le matin pour aller bosser avec des Donkeys, des Sheep, des Goats et des Birds, pour traduire, ben c facile

At This Time Steve JONES Recorded This " Fire & Gasoline " Album , He Grew His Hair , Rode In Harley-Davidson And Went Regullary To Mickey ROURKE'S " Mickey & Joey's Bar " !
This song was kind of a serious shock to me when i first heard it back in the early 90s, during my late teens. I absolutely hated the Sex Pistols, it was utter crap, and would never expect any of the band members to come up with anything worth listening. So...surprises do happen...and when i heard this song for the first time, and knew it was Steve Jones, i was impressed. Fell in love with the raw, pure, energetic sound of it. Brilliant!
you've got it backwards, Sex pistols was great, this is 80's metal bullshit. Even Jones is ashamed of how his voice sounds on this album. Also PIL has at least one amazing song in Public Image.
Thank YOU SOOOO FRICKEN Much For this postin mmm I have beeen looking for so long for this song!UUploaded in 2008??? It never responded to my searches til today..Whats up with that???
Go Steve go! always dug this. Look at that fuckin hair! It worked for this moment. Funny cos Steve has complained that he couldn't do the Johnny/Sid spikey thing in the 70's, his hair wouldn't cooperate.
Steve Jones is one of the best rockers ever in my book!
So damn underrated...hes brilliant in every sense
No argument here, he “taught” me how to play! (Im the same fashion Thunders and Ronson taught him, by listening to him play, and figuring out the chords. (Although, I learned a lot from them, Jimi Hendrix, Robert Quine, and Johnny Ramone) but it was Jonesy that I was trying to emulate when we started out first punk band in1988 when I was 14
Long Live Steve Jones!!!
Never read your book, any good?
Unrecogisable
Love Steve him and Lemmy my 2 favorites
This guy is amazing. Voice and guitar.
First time I've ever heard of Steve Jones rock stuff. Great sound
When this song was released,Steve did an interview with Hard n Heavy video mag. I'd bought the VHS (lol) and that was how I found out about SJ the rocker. The 6-7 minute interview is here on YT.

Sure. But Ace of Spades is the best of "80.
This is a great album and fit in perfect for the 80's. And it's still great now!
When Steve Jones ex-guitarist of Sex Pistols pushes in metal oh yeah!

It’s epic.
That is correct! I had it on vinyl! Steve also featured on Iggy Pop’s 1988 “Instinct” album, if I’m not mistaken……
Andy Taylor, Steve Jones, Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy. It doesn't get much cooler than that for 1987. 😎
I saw him with Iggy Pop in Dallas. He's also the guitarist for the Sex Pistols but I'm guessing you already knew that.
Loco se puede ver a Ian y a Billy en cada riff
Ivd never heard this before but I was about to say it sounds like Ian astonbiry on backing vocaks
😊 Freedom Fighter is almost a perfect song bg Steve Jones ! Real great music! :) - jon fisher
Terry Nails Bass together with Micky Curry is so pushing it all. I cant stop feeling it.

Steve Jones is one of those cats who can get away with constantly re-inventing himself, and no matter what--it would be cool!
Dude I fuckin love this album when I was in highschool I thought it was the coolest shit 😂😂😂 LA sunset Steve was badass
I've come directly from the video for Pretty Vacant and this is a rude shock!
That solo !!!
I love The Cult
First thing I thought when I heard the song!

aguante steve jones y la fantasy seven!!! freedom fighter a pleno!
Great Album, Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy from the Cult, as well as Nikki Sixx and Axl Rose, play and sing on it
From punk rock to butt rock...he pulls it off pretty well, though. One of the better butt rock songs of the 80's.
Jones is a revolutionary 👊
I can't believe this is Steve Jones from The Sex Pistols
Yeah he went through an LA Metal phase with the long hair and weightlifting
The wall of guitars give it away.
Toujours pour toi frangin du rock et les Mustangs, j'en croise le matin pour aller bosser avec des Donkeys, des Sheep, des Goats et des Birds, pour traduire, ben c facile
This guy just plain rocks. He does American rockstar than any American rockstar
Still have this cd

Thinkin' 'bout a place to run
Show a sign said for trouble makers
Sounds like I'd have some fun
Took a ride to that two bit town
Couldn't see nobody around
Then a man tried to slash my face
Welcome to this town
I'm a freedom fighter, here I come
I'm a human racer, watch me run
I'm a pain reliever
I'm a firm believer
I'm a freedom fighter
Here I come
Ain't got time to hang around
Ain't got time to play no games
Just rock and roll is on my mind
I can't feel no pain
All I need is a shotgun heart
A crossfire lightening dance
I blow your mind to outerspace
Love don't stand a chance
I'm a freedom fighter, here I come
I'm a human racer, watch me run
I'm a pain reliever
I'm a firm believer
I'm a freedom fighter
Here I come, yeah
I'm a freedom fighter, here I come
I'm a human racer, watch me run
I'm a pain reliever
I'm a firm believer
I'm a freedom fighter
Here I come
I'm a freedom fighter, here I come
I'm a human racer, watch me run
I'm a pain reliever

How can you hate Sex Pistols? Man they were awesome without a doubt
I'm afraid Hard rock and Glam rock's peak was around 71-76, 80's cock rock it's pretty much like watchin badly aged comedy.

This songs main riff sounds like Hanoi rocks tragity and not in a bad way
@Vassago1348 Yeah man that's Steve Jones, guitar player from The Sex Pistols.
La mejor banda que escuche de steve , a mi gusto , es Fantasy 7
Steve Jones was, quite clearly, the real Eddie Van Halen.
Steve jones goes steve steven/ the cult mode...😃
tghis is a kick ass song
