This figure is amazing, would love to see more of John Wayne figures but from his films such as big jake etc
Maybe!
I love Big Jake. So much quotable dialogue.
The searchers,Rio Bravo...those are the ones I want to see .
Big Jake was my favorite growing up
Wow! This figure looks absolutely amazing. I don't really have anything cowboy related or need anything cowboy related. But the pure quality of this figure makes it really tempting. Sometimes when something looks good and pulls the look off right it's really interesting and tempting to pick up.
I know he stands above just because of how classy he is!
That’s like the best best and diorama setup ever to come with a 1:6! Wow!
Legit it's epic!
I think the holster has a loop so it can tie around his leg, so keeps the holster in place when pulling the gun out quick! Great review, he was a great star!
That’s what I was thinking as well
Really?
@@JustinsCollection yes that what is does, see what happens when you watch to many cowboys films as a kid haha 😂
@@JustinsCollection That loop should be pulled down around the hammer spur to hold the revolver in place and keep it from falling out as The Duke rides his horse. John Wayne preferred to carry his revolver on the back side of his hip, a little past his shoulder, more towards his back right pocket between the 4 o'clock and 5 o'clock position. That's why the holster is canted forward.
John Wayne movies from the '60's and '70's, he wore 2 cuffs that had significant and emotional ties to the Vietnam war. They were symbols of loyalty, patriotism and remembrance.
True Grit (1969) and Rooster Coburn (1975) are the movies this look is inspired by... to get ideas on how to pose the figure. The cigarette in the mouth is a nice touch. GG Justin.
Oh interesting!
Oh my God! My dad would have loved this figure! Thanks Justin
Nice!
I just got this figure. It is amazing. The details are great. I cant wait to get the Clint Eastwood one.
It really is!
The way the clothes fit on this John Wayne figure is amazing. The VTS Red Dead Arthur Morgan is great but this blows it out of the water. wow.
Legit
Infinite Statue and Kaustic Plastik collaboration have raised the standard in high end 1.6 scale figures, Bela Lugosi and Charlie Chaplin to follow.
Agreed!
The loop on his holster is a leather strap that goes around the hammer of the revolver. It keeps the pistol from bouncing out of the holster while your riding a horse.
Oh nice!
Just got mine today what a badass figure and I was lucky enough to get the web exclusive
Nice!
Nice review, the original promo pictures include a close up of the holster rig, the string loops around the hammer of the pistol, preventing it being fired before it clears the holster, a little health and safety lol
Oh nice!
Not quite true, the string loop does go around the hammer, but after going around the hammer you pull it down. It holds the gun in the holster.
Great review! Kaustic Plastik is absolutely killing it with realism!
They sure are!
Wow, Wow Wow. That is an awesome figure of one of my favourite actors Mr John Wayne. The details are incredible. The accessories are so choice. Great review as always Justin, and yes I'm envious.
Kind regards Rikki
Haha thanks Rikki!
The bracelet was giving to duke as a gift of friendship and respect from montagnard, and he wore it for the rest of his life and is even buried with it
Nice
Great review Justin, thank you
My pleasure!
Excellent review. Beautiful figure. A must have.
It really is!
The best of the 2022!!!
Thank you!
what a great looking figure! love all the details and those magnetic bases, a very tempting figure. thanks Justin!
Absolutely phenomenal!
Brilliant figure I have the Deluxe ordered but have ordered the web ex also as I want the other stand 👍👏👏
Good choice!
Good video thank for always making me happy thanks
Thanks for watching!
This guy is Awesome! I love the magnetic bases and the details are great 👍
Me too!
I've got a couple of pieces from KP, and I'm thinking they're currently putting out the best 1/6th figures. They seem to be caring about quality in a way Hot Toys used to.
Agreed they're great
wow i like this figure.. I know many ppl collect Super heroes .. i like this way better!!
Nice!
My favorite Wayne film.
Nice!
Would you ever consider reviewing one of the new Clint Eastwood sideshow figures?
Maybe!
The leather string on the holster is a tie down.
Nice
Nice figure, looks like this would be a great companion to the Limtoys Gunslinger.
True!
Beautiful figure of John Wayne in True Grit Rooster Coburn 🙂 His only best actor oscar 😉 All details are very accurate to John Wayne and the film 👍
Dope!
This hits hard being from iowa
Oh!
I love when you step out of the super hero area (don’t get me wrong, I love super heros too), like this figure, The Godfather etc.
Btw: it’s a while since your last collection tour. What about a new one, with highlights on the statues? 😁
Cheers!
New one coming soon!
Beautiful figure specially the face 99% john Wayne 🔥🔥
It’s great!
The bracelet goes on his left hand and was given to him during filming of Green Berets.
Nice
If nobody has said ...that is a leg tie down . With the holster
Nice
the strap goes on the gun hammer to secure it.
Nice
Bro I would love it if they had a Matt Dillon figure from gunsmoke
Oh ok!
really nice
Thanks!
Cool!
Thanks!
@@JustinsCollection welcome broski!
Can I ask a question?
Ok!
@JustinsCollection where can I find one of these, and how much are they?
nice but 2yr later no longer available on links provided but see a new civil war john wayne for pre-orders,what i want is also sold out and over priced the trinity terence hill & bud spencer,go nice with my snake toys the good,my main collection 1/6 is mad max, need wez from madmax 2 hard to find now its a shame, would like to see master blaster made from madmax 3...then ineed different ww2 german soldiers and adolf figure those i have found well over priced for me.
Damn!
Nice
Thank you!
I thought Kaustic Plastic was only using real leather and not pleather, that is concerning if these pleather parts will start to break down and flake in time.
I did say I wasn't sure
Thats a suprise
A welcome one?
@@JustinsCollection im not a john wayne fan but the the figure looks amazing
ROOSTER COGBURN!!!
Oh!
Not a John Wayne fan by any stretch but that figure is great! Thanks for the review.
The Duke needs to cut his nails though!!
Haha at least they are painted!
@@JustinsCollection Haaa true, very nice French tips! No cowboy would ever have nails that long though. The Duke would have been horrified! On the other hand his real name *was* Marion...
Good looking figure; I like the base, too. Definitely won’t be buying this one, though. Not a John Wayne fan; he said himself in 1971, he’s a white supremacist. Said black people were uneducated & irresponsible. Called gay people perverts. Often used offensive slurs when referring to minority groups. Thought Native Americans were selfish for not letting white people steal their land. Even tried to assault Sacheen Littlefeather (Native American civil rights activist) at the 1973 Oscars. I don’t want that to take away from the beautiful craftsmanship of the figure! A good pick for anyone who’s a fan of old westerns.
I didn't know this thank you for letting me know.
