Marvel Productions was actually formed out of another studio, DePatie-Freleng Enterprises, which was an animation studio that was bought by Marvel Comics in 1981 and was renamed to "Marvel Productions". Though Marvel Productions did produce shows based on their comics, they also produced shows that weren't related to Marvel or its characters at all because they produced non-Marvel shows as DPE before they became Marvel Productions. That's why they produced shows such as My Little Pony and Muppet Babies among others.

That said, Disney and Hasbro have a great relationship. Hasbro has the licensing for Marvel and Star Wars, and Marvel has published comics based on G. I. Joe and Transformers. I wouldn't rule out an eventual merger of some sort.

I just love butch Hartman. He is my influence in animation and his work for Nickelodeon is ingenious. Thanks to him, I have decided to make my one cartoon for nick. It's called OUTERZONE. The main characters are superhumans who started a rebellion for superhuman rights in the 60s. Now they travel through other dimensions and fight villains. I really hope butch likes my comment that would mean so much to me. I loved fairly odd parents and Danny phantom and tuff puppy and I have extremely fond memories watching them.
The last few minutes of this video makes me like Butch even more. So inspirational. You are my hero, Butch

I'm so happy Butch makes youtube videos now. I normally don't like the style of just talking at the camera but his stories are always so fascinating that I just can't stop listening. Also, whoever edits these does a great job, very funny stuff.

I was in a situation almost exactly like that cliff story.
In an English class my senior year of high school, the teacher was telling us this story she heard about a mating pair of geese that were holding up traffic. One of them had a messed-up foot, and the other one was squawking at cars to stay back while it helped helping the other goose walk across the street. I guess the point of the story was that it was what real love and devotion looked like, but nobody in class seemed to think much of it. After she finished the story there was this long, awkward pause, and then finally I asked, "Why didn't they just FLY across the street?" Everybody in the room burst out laughing, but I never got an answer. She didn't say that there was anything wrong with their wings.

It is always encouraging when you talk about God. Totally a God moment when He provides just what you need at the right time. God is good all the time and all the time God is good :) :) :) I was surprised the first time I listened to you talk about God. I said "Wow there is at least one Christen in California who is also kinda like a celebrity! Wow! Thank you God!" Then I thought "Have you thought of ministry?" Then I thought "Never mind God's got you right where He wants you. He is in control" Either way it is encouraging to see the artist/creator behind some of my favorite shows when I was growing up. Fairly Odd Parents and Danny Phantom where some of my favorites. I'll be 25 this year in 2018 and I already feel old. Have a nice day.

That "Winged pony hanging off a cliff" scenario reminds my of the first Sparky ep. of FoP, where cosmo and wanda lose their wands midway through the episode, then they promptly reappear towards the end to finish off the episode quickly......

I was thinking, you always take input from fans and I guess the only thing I would like to request for the future would be a more in depth look at Sam and Danny's relationship. I always found them so funny and angsty, specially Sam. Anyway, like I said I love hearing you talk. Even when the topic doesn't necessarily strike my fancy, you still make it fun.

When I hear that it reminds me of that one time I got kicked from an animation project after being falsely accused of tracing the project leader's work.
Said person was unable to deal with me still being on the project after I prove my innocence and getting backlash for the false accusations.
So I guess in a way it's good if you cannot immediately get it right. Each has its own pros and cons.

I'm not a graphic artist, but I am a writer. As such... I'm not 100% certain, but it seems to me that a cartoon "storyboard" is much like a story's "outline."
I have discovered that when writing something more than a cute little one-shot, an outline is incredibly necessary. At the very least, it gives you a sense of 1) who are your characters, 2) what is the conflict, and 3) how is it resolved. If you don't have these three aspects, you will write yourself into a corner.
As one of my favorite cartoonists, you have figured it out long ago. But it's still important to mention it, as it is helpful for any talented artist that I can think of.

I love these videos on your work history around different animation studios and projects. You're so right about "bad" experiences actually turning into positive/learning experiences. At 26 I'm finally understanding that concept. I hope other viewers can do the same after these videos! Also, not to mention these videos are just great to watch anyways. I'm happy you have a TH-cam channel, it feels like as a viewer we get to know you a bit more, and it's kind of nice seeing as how important you were to so many of us in our childhood!

I love hearing about experiences like these. I always tell myself that, you have only really failed when you have given up. Even though you got fired from something that you were struggling with that doesn't mean you are out of the game, you held strong and moved on to a new chapter in your life. Thanks so much Butch for creating one of my all time FAVORITE shows of my childhood. I just rewatched all of the episodes of Danny Phantom and was upset that Danny was over (again). I absolutely LOVE the relationship between Sam and danny and I would like to know what happens with their relationship. Do they get married? Etc. I also agree that you should buy back the rights to own Danny Phantom so we can have 10 years later episodes. Thanks again. Sincerely, a devoted fan
