Dude thanks for this video. I've been trying different skintone paints for the last week on my practice model and it just didn't look quite right. I got some primary color acrylics and mixed up some skin tone. Dang, now it looks so natural. I love how much control you have over the hue and darkness. Clearly, this is definitely the way to go.
Thanks for the video tip! Your videos are very helpful for me who is trying to start head sculpt painting. What would you mix for a darker African American skin tone? I’m planning to paint a Miles Morales head. Would you add more burnt sienna?

Those are not tattoo ink. They are just acrylic paint i premix with water and put in drop bottle. I never in favour of any particular acrylic paint brands.
@@Joe_Friday for phicen i think painting is not an option. but you can stain it. i haven't really figure out how to coloring phicen body. but for starter you might wanna try Soft Pastel

1:1 ratio. But my paint is very thick like paste. So i am planning to do future video with selected paint brands. So it will be easier for viewer to follow

More burnt sienna
You can even use burnt sienna only for some dark skin tone

But you should be able to experiment with the basic mixing paint

how do you mix in larger amounts to put in a bottle
You can mix in bowl or plastic cup first.
Then pour with funnel into bottle.
