What a cool video concept!!! I'm gonna get one of those freaking Merle Norman eye liner pencils looks so good. :) Definitely prefer that mascara with no primer... gives a much more natural look while still opening your eyes up. But then again I'm a fan of zero-clump mascara and the marc jacobs primer tends to create clumps for you lol.

Hi, I like the overall look here. The purple eyeshadow suits you 😍 but for me I would choose the more neutral shade that you had. I have the Bare Minerals lipstick Insight and I think that this is a good all rounder for an every day kind of look. Great video lovey and hope you and your family are keeping well! Take care 💕.
I have some NYX lip liners and like them a lot. That eyeshadow is pretty even though not a color I would often reach for. Lol, I already have more than a lifetime supply of highlighter.

You should do a full face of Merle Norman! I work there and i am so proud they made it in the top. They have such great products, i feel like they're a hidden gem! PS if you go to your local studio they will be happy to help you with products 😉

Mascara primer: •apply primer to one eye and not the other. •apply mascara to the eye with no primer. •apply mascara to eye with primer. •compare the two eyes as only having one coat each. By my count, the eye with primer has two coats, be it mascara or something “for the mascara to stick to” where the other eye is explained as looking “less voluminous”. Ummm...maybe because the other eye essentially got two coats? Couldn’t I do the same thing with a second coat of mascara and leave out the primer? Someone explain the logic in buying a primer.
I think primer for eye lash is more of a personal preference. For me I prefer to just go straight in with mascara. I find benefits mascaras are great when layering without giving that spider leg look. Xx
My thoughts exactly! The mascara primer feels so gimmicky to me, its just beige mascara. You can use a base coat of any clear mascara you already have with the same effect or just two coats of regular black mascara.
The brow pencil seems very warm almost reddish tones. I have such a hard time finding a pencil light enough that is also cool/ashy in color. My closest is winky lux uni-brow universal brow pencil but I lose over half the product by shaving it to a thin point. Does anyone have any recommendations for a micro pencil that goes on smooth and is similar color to the winkylux uni-brow?
Hi! My hair is silver/white and I have the same issue. I love that WinkyLux - but I just use a very light hand and use it more to "shade in" rather than draw individual hairs.
@@suzanstorm2982 that’s what I do with it for the most part but I have one awkward bald patch on the beginning of my left brow that looks better when I can do the little strokes. So I kinda sharpen the tip and once I’m done with that spot it’s dull enough to just shade the rest I just hate losing the product I shave off to sharpen it

Will proceed to give advice: haha I find that for me when I see the end result of the make up look at the beginning of the video it makes me feel uninterested in the video. I still watch it but I'm not as intrigued or excited for the process. Maybe not giving a snapshot will encourage more people to watch it? Just an idea.
Please don't use dropper products directly dropper-to-face. Put a bit of it on your hand and use that to apply to the skin. Touching the dropper to your skin will cause an introduction of more bacteria into the container when you put the dropper away. That can lead to skin infections and break outs
I’m getting more and more skeptical of the Allure Beauty awards. I haven’t heard hype around even one of these products. (And I follow the beauty world closely). My gut instinct is companies are paying Allure for the honor of the “award”.
They do pay. I actually used to be in advertising and companies pay to be on these lists. If you don’t pay, they will not advertise you as “the best”. The companies you see year after year in these lists are their regular paying customers. That is why I do not pay attention to any of these so called “award winning” products. They mean nothing.
