I prefer the game with the piss filter on than without. The filter gives it a gritty look which helps with the overall vibe of the game. To me, the game was kinda like a more serious version of NFS Prostreet (imagine if Prostreet and Grid 1 had a baby that perfectly combined the best aspects of both games and expanded on them, it would probably be the best simcade racing game ever made).
I'm actually surprised when I go back to some earlier games in the ps4 generation that I haven't played and the driving feels better than from games that came out today. Recently they added watch dogs to the psn free thing, how is the car damage and handling better than from their latest meme game... Gaming industry is going to hell

When I sit and think back on racing games .. Carbon and MW were my absolute favorites. My mom (rest her soul) brought me this game home one day when she was out shopping. This game holds a special place in my heart. I wasn't sure what to expect. But this game was partially responsible for getting me into endurance racing. This will forever be my favorite racing game of all time. Timeless, and ahead of its time.
So far still my most played steam game and one of my favourite racing games of all time.. I remember playing it at some dude’s place around the time it first came out and after that I just hung out with him because I could play it there with him until I got it for myself😅
20:23 yes they are actually affected by damage, theres been a couple times ive seen ai drivers struggling to control their car because they crashed and messed their wheels up or badly damaged their engine
These games were definitely far better in it's day ten what we have now. The Only game new racing game we've had lately was Grid Legends, But still the old racing games were far better in the day
GRID was an absolute masterpiece. One of the best codemasters games ever. The drifting in that game was so fun. Too bad codemasters lost their talent. Also Dirt 1 to 3 were insanely nice and the franchise only went downhill from there
3:24 as far as i know, if you buy car from ebay and the car have too much wreck or have a lot event wins, it dont affected the car perfomance. i've this game like 10-20Hours if i remember. but still, im always compared buy new and buy used car, and nothing different at all, the different is.. it's just only the price.

I have a wheel but Assetto is not really my thing because it doesn't have a proper career. I like having career mode in racing games and therefore some sort of progression.
