    Getting off drugs isn’t the hard part. It’s staying off. Every clinic loves to tout their numbers about “getting people off drugs”.

    There is no “Cure” for the disease of Addiction. When you stop using drugs or drinking alcohol you cannot start again. If you do it will be like you never stopped and it will get worst. The fatal progression of the addiction disease never stops. Total abstinence for the rest of your life is the only way to survive.

      It’s the hardest addiction, I believe it takes 2 years to get your head straight from using, everyone from family, friends, all end up using again 30 day 90 days not enough time for a , LIFETIME OF ABUSE , now the ones who broke there meth habit, did not touch it for that 2 year period, that time period seems to be the right amount of time to get there head straight , give them a fighting chance to be drug free. Ice FREE BASE METHAMPHETAMINE , that can be smoke snorted or injected has not been around long, only a few decades yes it’s a old drug . But not in its present form , just discovering of what the long term generational meth users ice , does , long term use damages the brain In the same manner of Parkinson’s disease , all that jerking you see when people are really high, dopamine imbalances from Frying the synapses permanently.

      @kirilpopov7888 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately! And 99% can't really help you but only help you to "get rid" of the last money you have.
      I've seen even ads for people who can cure you with some mysterious ancient magic....you know some ancient tribes created magic to fight the heroin and cocaine addiction :)
      This what is worse is thay the authorities don't pay attention and don't do inspection and control of any person or company which offers to cure addiction for some payment. If is free ok but if they ask you to pay then they should have solid proofs their method is actually working.

    • @needmoreramsay
      @needmoreramsay 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      First of, $10000 is NOTHING compared to what an addict will spend in short period of time to support their habit. The cost to their friends, family, life is far greater than $10000. Putting up with someone in withdrawal is not easy. They at least earn their money doing something worthy. Think about what others charge to inject fat into your lips, or install silicon bags into your chest, or suck fat out of your hips.

    • @kirilpopov7888
      @kirilpopov7888 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@needmoreramsay Right! But first it's about if this works or not or is just the next luxury hotel for junkies with relaxing programs, fitness, rituals and so on where you feel good while there because of the connection between you and all people with same problem in there and when you get back home your pockets are $10 000 ligher and week or two later you meet your old buddies and say to yourself "what about of taking once just to remind the feeling and then won't touch anymore" and then you say "well I may using but only once a week, let's be only Sunday" and after month or two you are in the same shits.

    • @kirilpopov7888
      @kirilpopov7888 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      What about the people like me who can't afford to pay 10 000$ at this moment? We should die then until we make our dealers richer? Honestly I do not believe to these luxury junky hotels so called rehab centers and people who say "my mission is to help people fight their addiction" but in same time they work on 1000% profit or even more and make you borrow big amounts from the banks or relatives just to make them rich.
      My opinion is that after any rehab you have to change your home, your town and even change your country if have to if this is the price to get clean!
      I am from EU member country and when was addicted to heroin I started taking methadone but found nothing can help me because everything reminds me for the time when was looking for the next shot so I decided to go work in Germany. When I was there I stopped the heroin and methadone and one month later I found there are many junkies around me in the same town but I had new life new memories and everything was different and nothing reminded me for my kicks so I didn't touch any drugs while in Germany despite I could find drugs just for few hours.
      Everyone who was in mine situation knows that addicted person can find drugs everywhere doesn't matter whether he is in his own town or is abroad just if he wants to

    Courtney's family spent $10k...and it looks like it will be a waste of money. I don't feel he is really ready to quit.. but the guy Steve.. the one at the vomit Temple.. he seems a more honest with himself kind of bloke. Methadone [physeptone] addicts can requite a lot longer at the monastery- as methadone is so long and painful to withdraw from [compared to heroin/morphine..the vomiting if one is addicted to 'ice'.. probably shows that it is symbolic[as they say in the film] ..Westerners do find the Thai regimen tough- but it is free!....did you notice at the end, Courtney's T shirt said ''Dope'' and another person's said ''Hope''..this says a lot.

      I've been on methadone and it's way worse than heroin withdrawal... but 15 days would definitely get you over most of the physical stuff... sleep takes ages to get back to normal though... having said that this place is way better than any shit Aussie detox

      Tom Popz al afghan gayi
      All detoxes are crap..there isn't any way of sugaring the pill.
      They do ones in UK called ''detox 5'' where someone is under heavy sedation, but they puke and crap their way through the days..naltrexone speeds things up a bit brutally.
      The Thai detox place is spartan, but does seem to get some very good results.
      Re methadone.. it depends how long someone has been on it..some people I now have been on it 35 years, and they do find detoxing hard, but some have swiched to buperenorphine, and seem like different people.
      But they are still ''on'' something, not truly clean.
      sleeplessness and general anxiety is the worst after methadone... and a sense of exhaustion that seems to last for ages.

  • @nichtdiemama11
    @nichtdiemama11 9 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    At first I thought they were doing something called aversion therapy, but the vomiting seems to be rather symbolic. Alcohol aversion therapy is a controversial type of treatment, where the addict takes nausea inducing medication every time he drinks alcohol, until after a while the mere thought of drinking makes him nauseous.

  • @jeffreyjackson5229
    @jeffreyjackson5229 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The approach makes sense, at least to me. Drugs are a toxin, which the body has developed a tolerance, eventually, an addiction for. If that medication does what I think, it reaches beyond the stomach.
    I wouldn't be surprised if it also causes frequent urination, perspiration, and bowel movements as well.

  • @bluespig1

    Everybody wakes up everyday and has the power to choose what they do that day. If you choose to 'give up your responsibility' you deserve what you get. Parents have a hell of a lot to answer for, as kids do not start abusive behaviour if they love themselves and have loving parents. People need to practice mindfulness and learn to live in the moment and understand their choices have results.

      +mozzmarket That's true. Even after 6 months to a year there is still the risk of relapsing. The only way of beating the demons is through pure determination and it also helps when you stop hanging around the same crowd that could have bad influences on you. This is very true when it comes to ice addiction. After the initial 2-3 months of being off the drug you will stop thinking about it but once you see it infront of you the temptation is overwhelming. I've been off it for 1 year and I did it cold turkey, I have been staying away from all the people that could risk me into relapsing and it has worked thus far.

    FUN FACT: Recently, all the monks in a Thai monestary had to be removed because they were found to be addicted to meth.

      Most people, by the time they get to thinking about trying any addictive drug are already broken on some level and the drug, once taken, will start working its voodoo. With meth, it's a quick initiation into addiction, heroin is pretty fast too.
