I know Sam personally. He worked at my sober living and ended up being my co worker soon after. He’s an awesome guy who is still in recovery and enjoys helping others 😊
Clean 5yrs now from heroin. Best thing I heard in one of the 6 rehabs I was in....”would you rather keep doing the one thing you’re doing, and lose everything? Or would you rather keep everything and lose the one thing you’re doing?” I had lost my job. My home. All materials possessions. My looks. My family. My self respect & dignity. My MORALS. Now today I got all those things back and am the girl I always knew I was inside. The one my parents raised me to be. I started to accept the fact that I was just going to be a hopeless junkie. But I decided to try one more time. I promise it’s possible. Life is beautiful and I pray for everyone still living that life. I wouldn’t wish it upon my worst enemy.
That’s an amazing quote. I just wrote it down in my recovery journal. Just got out of rehab today 💜 I’m leaving a stronger woman with 60 days under my belt.
Hope your doing ok Ange. I relapses recently. Almost 5 months sober. Gotta get myself back in some structure. Looking into getting into an out of state rehab. Need a change of environment outside of Ky. Dunno how that would work with my insurance tho.
Once you know that you've had enough, it's a great feeling... I'm 3 months sober and not craving it at all. Can't wait for it to be 3 year's.. I am never going back to drink and drugs for the rest of my life...Amen
I’m almost 5 months sober and it’s different for everyone but I’m very careful on saying I’ll never drink or do drugs again but I also got help just to give it a shot because I didn’t want to die. For a long time when I was using I didn’t care if I lived or died so it was a big step for me to start caring. I haven’t seriously craved since the first couple months when I was still in rehab but I really can’t tell the future. I just know that I want to give this recovery thing an honest try and if I want to go back to using drugs after I can but I will be better off for trying. I’m just focused on doing what I can to see what life as adult is like sober. I still have mental health issues but atleast now it’s way easier to deal with them
I've never done heroin. But I struggled with meth for a long time , started dabbling with cocaine and alcohol at 13 years old . I'm glad I am sober from everything since April 3rd,2021. I'm 32 years old now.
Here's how you tell if your drug use is being done responsibly. Ask yourself this question: am I using this drug to enhance my life (that I'm already content with), or am I using this drug to replace my life
@*daniel cepeda* then you better stop consuming soda, coffee, sugar , most tap water, and most all processed foods. ps sugar was shown more addictive than cocaine in a scientific study with lab rats.

Drug usage and reliance might be fun at the initial moments but it's always a hole too deep you cannot get out without help. I am happy that he's eventually found the needed help. Thanks Detox to Rehab
Guy's a lot like me, stole alcohol at 14, got caught and ran, tried every drug out there, got hooked on shooting prescription opiates and switched to slamming heroin at like 17, went to rehab, etc. Heroin is so good you'll ruin your life and your body for that high...
Steven Assanti Did that for a while too, drank about a 5th and took several mg of klonopin daily for a couple years after I got off heroin cuz I was still craving it and used that shit as a substitution for my drug of choice...
Steven Assanti I already for the most part quit drinking a while ago, just on a low dose of benzos that I actually have a legitimate prescription for cuz of anxiety but thanks, I definitely know how serious it can be.

Drug education mostly says everything but the truth. They tell you drugs make you feel terrible and it's all bad blah blah blah. Yeah after so long it does. But in the beginning, they highs are incredible and amazing. And these kids who try it who are genetically predisposed to addiction will think they are lying, and continue using drugs and then eventually, yes they do turn on you and eventually it's not longer fun. It feels like your walking on glass and living in hell. And once it's impossible to quit on your own without hell, that's when it becomes impossible. And you do it to not be dope sick, to be able to function normally. And it just feels like you're taking medication prescribed by a doctor that doesn't make you feel anything but normal and functional. If they bring drug education as a subject for schools, they should teach about how it will be in the beginning, and the science behind the drugs, and behind addiction, the short term effects, long term effects, and about the different recovery options such as medication assisted treatment, intensive outpatient rehabilitation, in patient rehabilitation, sober living facilities, 12 Step AA and NA, drug court programs, etc. Everything people should be educated on because most families have at least one family member that suffers with addiction. I used to be on heroin and opioids! Remember wanting to die. I have a TH-cam channel now showing my journey as a new business owner juggling a full time job. Also closing on my first house in five days. God is so good!! I love seeing others heal. I could relate with him. My parents also divorced at 14. Drugs were the only thing that numbed the pain. I hope you’re doing good bro.
I am a mother of an eighteen year old son so I hear you with a mother's ears: Please get your life together. Find out why you use then seek help wherever you can. There is help out there. Life can be so much more than what you are experiencing in your young life right now. You can have a good life. You can learn to love yourself. You can be proud of yourself one day soon. You break my heart, I have hope for you.
I just turned 24 -_-. Didnt do shit besides smoke snd drink until i was 20. And i fell inlove with coke, then perks, oxycottons, sniffing heroin, shooting heroin, smoking crack. SOMEHOW ended a 2 year straight BATTLEEEEEE with fucken heroin. And i actually make it out. And GUESS WHAT DUDE.... MY FRIEND HMU AND HE HAD SOME MOLLY AND WAS W SOME CHICKS..... YESTERDAY AT 6PM. ITS NOW 1AM AND I HAVE TK BE AT WORK AT 7... AND IM HIGH AS FUCK BECAUSE I AM A FUXKEN IDIOT. AND I REALIZE NOW, THAT WAS FUCKEN METH. HE GAVE ME TWO HUGE RAILS OF FUXKEN METH. AND HERE THE FUCK I AM. JUSTTT FINDING OUT I NOW ACCIDENTALLY CONSUMED THE ONE DRUG POSSIBLY MORE INSTANTLY ADDICTING THEN FUCKEN HEROIN. GET HELP NOW MAN. PLEASE. IM TELLING YOU. I ALRDY LOST EVERYONE. AND FREAKING FOUGHT SO HARD AND KICKED HEROIN SO MANY TIMES AND I ACTUALLY FINALLY KICKED IT FOR LONGER THEN A FEW DAYS.ITS BEEN 6 MONTHS. BUT NOW IM FUCKED.
Sam's story is very inspiring. Because he knew that he is already addicted to three different kinds of substances but he found his way out of it am proud of you.
Sounds like me to a point. It is fun for a while. Then you cross the line and it takes over. By the Grace of God, I have over 23 years clean an sober. I still have to work the program. The addiction will take you places that you never planned to go
Sam's gratitude for life after all he's been through is really inspiring. I hope he can serve as a good role model for others, especially those with dependencies on heroin and alcohol.
3 most addictive things are cigarettes, heroin, and methamphetamine. Obviously cigarettes arent the most destructive to the person, but they are the most physically addictive
KittyCow well we'll. Cigarettes are so damn addictive. Started at 42 now 50 yep you read that correctly! Stopped weed coke etc. But these damn cigs are the devil!!
It’s such a vicious circle. I have people who care about me who want me to reach out when I am struggling, but when you’ve tried to get clean so many times, you feel like you can’t keep asking for help, cause the same thing keeps happening, and people lose faith in you.
wow skate people getting really offended here. Chill! It was the case for his type of skate group. Nobody is saying that all people that skate use drugs or accept people doing drugs. He just told the story out of his perspective.
just cause he doesnt have track marks doesnt mean he wasnt an addict. a good friend of mine was an addict and his arms are clean and clear and he injected on the daily. this guy could have just been a smoker. you can smoke it on foil or dab it on a nail in a bong. can't judge a books by its cover until you finish reading it.

Lmao the alcohol part sounds like how I was throughout my teens. Used to go in stores walking out with hand baskets and a backpack full of liquor almost everyday of the week lol used to make a killing in middle school and hs. Never got caught, been chased a few times but then the stores got used to me and the employees wouldn't even trip anymore
I very happy for you, I personally know how difficult it is because I was in the same boat but even worse, regardless at least you have gotten cleaned up and got on with life, I’ve been clean for over 19 years and there are days where I still get the urge, although I never give in, I guess it just part of my pass, I thank a God each and every day that I get to wake up sober and healthy, Keep up the hard work and God Bless
shagmaster bartowski you can, but im 17 been to rehab 5 times, they always told me the teen brain is going through changes and addiction CAN creep up faster in teens than adults, although it also depends person to person
yeah pretty much, i would say personal problems is why people start using drugs and i believe that the root of it is depression and of course people have different things that caused that depression.

changalo ! Ill talk you film bro. Im 50 been there done that.
There’s not many 60 year old addicts, most die young
Pull up nigga fuck yeah joey diaz
Lol you could go to any AA meeting to hear that story work on your 5th step pal jealousy is a bad character defect
Sakes story is a testimony that many people can still be free from addiction. Your videos are always touching
I love to listening this I am also a hash addicted person
Sam, your story is so touching to hear. You're truly courageous. Thank God you are now sober.
So he’s addicted to sugar, caffeine, and nicotine great
He meant alcohol I’m pretty sure but yeah lmao
Pravne Konzultacije more people die from heart disease than heroin lmao
I used to be on heroin and opioids! Remember wanting to die. I have a TH-cam channel now showing my journey as a new business owner juggling a full time job. Also closing on my first house in five days. God is so good!! I love seeing others heal. I could relate with him. My parents also divorced at 14. Drugs were the only thing that numbed the pain. I hope you’re doing good bro.
I'm 16 and I'm ashamed to say that I can relate to this man way too much... I hate myself.
We are in this together and there’s nothing to be ashamed of if you are willing to change. There is a better us within us all.
Dude PLEASE take care of it NOW
I just turned 24 -_-. Didnt do shit besides smoke snd drink until i was 20. And i fell inlove with coke, then perks, oxycottons, sniffing heroin, shooting heroin, smoking crack. I am really happy to know that you are now sober. Keep it up and do not lose hope because your past does not defy your future.
I gave up 2 of those 3. Dope and cigarettes ok but touch my coffee and I'll cut ya!
The addiction will take you places that you never planned to go
So courageous of sam to share his story. God bless you Sam. You are a winner.
Need to teach how to safely use drugs and understand them inside and out in schools from an early age
Exactly
Sobriety pays because it gives hope. Sam, thank God you were able to keep your hope alive.
Molly: Max once a monthpsychedelics: Max once a weekweed: Whenever whereverhard drugs: Never
bro yu dumb ass fack
Psychedelics once a week? My god
molly max 4 times a year psychedelics max once a month.
minexer u can do that but the general thought is md once a month and psychedelics once a week due to the effects lacking if u do it more
@@goodlad3606 if you do psychedelics once a week the effects will start lacking.
Sam's gratitude for life after all he's been through is really inspiring. I hope he can serve as a good role model for others, especially those with dependencies on heroin and alcohol.
wait so hes wearing a sweatshirt and has one on his bike?
yep and ran home with his bike
Levi Peterson no he left it...
Thank you Detax to rehab for sharing these type of stories with all of us.These stories are really very much inspirational for many people.
3 most addictive things are cigarettes, heroin, and methamphetamine. Obviously cigarettes arent the most destructive to the person, but they are the most physically addictive
the most addictive substance is SUGAR
Sugar is very fucking addictive if I don’t eat any sugars for like 2 days I legit go into withdrawals😂😂😂😂
KittyCow well we'll. Cigarettes are so damn addictive. Started at 42 now 50 yep you read that correctly! Stopped weed coke etc. But these damn cigs are the devil!!
Andy Evans dopamine isn’t a drug it’s a chemical in the brain. Some drugs play on dopamine receptors
Andy Evans dopamine isn’t a drug my dude
It’s such a vicious circle. I have people who care about me who want me to reach out when I am struggling, but when you’ve tried to get clean so many times, you feel like you can’t keep asking for help, cause the same thing keeps happening, and people lose faith in you.
I was just like him been clean for 3 years now. After doing 7 small jail sentences don't do drugs fks up your life..
Keep it going, Marc!! You're doing great!
What a great comeback form taking the most dangerous drugs to working with people to sober them. Really happy for you
Wtf i watch while baked asf my lord
Stfu
Getting involved in addiction is very challenging for Sam. His story is very inspirational and am glad for his recovery.
wow skate people getting really offended here. Chill! It was the case for his type of skate group. Nobody is saying that all people that skate use drugs or accept people doing drugs. He just told the story out of his perspective.
You’re a very strong, loved person.
Those are not the 3 most addictive substances in the world
Meth, Heroin and Coke imo
@@unky5724 fentanyl.
Pierce Doyle Krokodil
Meth is so powerful, after.one line it cured a 13 year coke addiction. Now im fscing a bigger badder demon 😭
J1MB0 - Krokodil is not more addicting than Heroin... People just use it, because they cant afford Heroin.
There's always a good story to tell after recovery from addiction. Congratulations to Sam.
I really need help :(

Addiction kills and destroys life. To overcome it is by determination. Thanks for sharing.
Are we sure those are not actors ?
Although it seems unlikely, I can assure you that every single story on this channel is absolutely true. No actors.
Its so clearly that this one is not an actor...
+Mike Moore Most addicts don't shoot in their arms anymore, it's became such a well known signs. A lot of them shoot into their feet.
just cause he doesnt have track marks doesnt mean he wasnt an addict. a good friend of mine was an addict and his arms are clean and clear and he injected on the daily. this guy could have just been a smoker. you can smoke it on foil or dab it on a nail in a bong. can't judge a books by its cover until you finish reading it.
JakeThaSnake lol that ain't true. you watch too many movies
Sam story was so touching and very inspirational. I’m so glad he’s doing well now thank you for being so courageous.
why's he look like a middle aged father
lift weights eat neurontin well if you had even glanced at the video for a second you would know he was a heavy drug user..........that tends to age people's looks
Goaty1127 no
shit
lift weights eat neurontin Well based off of your first comment you made it clear that you didn't understand why he looks more aged than he is
Goaty1127 it's not his face it's his hair and clothes.
@@slingbladefrenchfries3007 no
Shit
He Got Addicted to Harmful Substances and this affected his Life.
It's really Great to see Him Recover after
Lmao the alcohol part sounds like how I was throughout my teens. Used to go in stores walking out with hand baskets and a backpack full of liquor almost everyday of the week lol used to make a killing in middle school and hs. Never got caught, been chased a few times but then the stores got used to me and the employees wouldn't even trip anymore
im sure
I very happy for you, I personally know how difficult it is because I was in the same boat but even worse, regardless at least you have gotten cleaned up and got on with life, I’ve been clean for over 19 years and there are days where I still get the urge, although I never give in, I guess it just part of my pass, I thank a God each and every day that I get to wake up sober and healthy, Keep up the hard work and God Bless
2 reasons for almost every substance addiction:
- personal problems
- using drugs underage
TheMairex the underage part is completely false. U can just as easily be addicted to a drug when u get older
shagmaster bartowski you can, but im 17 been to rehab 5 times, they always told me the teen brain is going through changes and addiction CAN creep up faster in teens than adults, although it also depends person to person
Ayy Lmao junkie
yeah pretty much, i would say personal problems is why people start using drugs and i believe that the root of it is depression and of course people have different things that caused that depression.
thank you Detax to rehab for sharing these type of stories with all of us.
