Today in 2024, I’m still in love with this car. Reasonable price to buy cash. My only concern is parts. Any owners willing to share service and maintenance experience? I’m planning to buy used.
my brother owned this car, for the first few months, it was a bit rough to maintain, there were oil leaks, needed to change the engine head or something i cannot remember, some spark plugs needed to be changed and the shocks also needed to be replaced
but there are alot of positives, once you changed the broken parts, it is heavenly to ride, it is very comfortable and my brother even use it for Grad E Hailing, it feels veryyy premium if you want to compare with Myvi or Axia, the body feels very sturdy and thick, also the handlinggg ohhhh myyyy goddddd it is veryyy light and sporty
i owned a 2012 facelift 308, basically 208's older brother, and my mom have a 508, we are basically huge fans of French cars, Citroen DS and Peugeots are our thing
we only buy used cars tho , we tend to save money rather than buying new cars which are veryyy expensive , my 308 was rm12k, my brother's 208 was rm13 and my mom's 508 was 30k plus
Spot on regarding the automatic. I live in a hilly country and the automatic could never make up its mind, what gear it wanted to be in. I ended up driving it in tiptronic mode. The 4 gears are quite far apart (for European motorways?) so that's probably why it could never get in the right gear. Rest of the car is well spec'd for the price.
@@nomskieejay7946 I notice the indication of top up engine oil message after the 3rd year. Been complaining and only after the 5 th year manage to claim A new engine replacement.
Tq, mine was exactly like this, i own this spec of Peugeot 208, tq for reviews, before i try to find out the spec just like me didnt found it, it is 208 vti or what?
@alexlovesmac .. no joke.. best review ive seen for a car ever im currently looking for my first car and with all the features i really do think this will be it.. sad about the glove compartment having little space.. but everything else seems perfect! anyway thanks for the review :)
It's all explained in the video really. These were a bunch of so-called "Brunei-spec" cars that were offered to those who wanted a 208 fast and could not wait for the regular 208 as the regular one had a long waiting list.
I like all your videos, but something taht i dont like is that you describe the car while touch the horn :( this is a part of the essential from the car, let it be :D...

i have used this car for over a year. other than minor complaints its a good damm car.
I might be getting that as my first car as my grandad has that car and he doesnt need it anymore
How is it now?
Abdin Syakirin still using the car. Manage to claim A new engine thru warranty.
Mike Tan l that’s lovely, happy you’re enjoying it and were able to claim a new engine. Did the old one get bad quickly

It looks like the steering wheel is in the way of viewing the instrument cluster - a bad design flaw by Peugeot?
You're supposed to look over the steering wheel to view the instrument cluster. I did mention this in the video.
nice video , and it was detailed about whole Peugeot 208 . prefer your style
Thank you. =)
Great Review! Thank you very much!
nice video...im sold.
What about 2013 suzuki swift sport video? :D
what is the part where it says 0, 1/2 then 1. i have a flashing orange cirlce beside the 0 on my dashboard. can you tell me what it means.

im currently looking for my first car and with all the features i really do think this will be it.. sad about the glove compartment having little space.. but everything else seems perfect!
anyway thanks for the review :)
Things remind me of the Ford Fiesta... the instrument cluster, the switchblade key, the steering wheel, and the center stack.
Nice house you got there
A lever to adjust seat back? On a European car? Very odd!
Nice vid Alex
Can you do the 2015 model
Great review Alex. Can you do a review for Toyota Wish? cant find a good review on youtube. im looking forward on it. =)
I do have a 2004 Wish on my channel already. Do check it out! =)
how about the new generation of Toyota Wish?
question alex. how come this 208 is different in terms of spec?
It's all explained in the video really. These were a bunch of so-called "Brunei-spec" cars that were offered to those who wanted a 208 fast and could not wait for the regular 208 as the regular one had a long waiting list.
راني عاشقة فيها هاذي سيارة😘😍😍😍😍
مش مليحه المحرك تاعها ضعيف
Nice pitch, try to do it a bit more faster pls.
Is this 208 CKD in malaysia Alex?
+ariefianto95 Yes.
+alexlovesmac cool alex, is this the only one type that assembled in malaysia?
Alex can you do a vw mk5 golf gti and polo gti
I like all your videos, but something taht i dont like is that you describe the car while touch the horn :( this is a part of the essential from the car, let it be :D...
Where did you video this? This 208 is lower spec than the 208 sold by Nasim.
Lol. I mentioned it in the video. It's a limited run of models offered by Peugeot to customers who did not want to wait.
Does the allure (I think that is the model spec shown in this video) come with navigation? Or is it an optional extra?
Peugeot 208 has electric steering not power
As per the video, the 208 comes with an Electric Power Steering system.
wait for long time...but y no video show???
Lol. What're you talking about?
Stop Pressing the horn !
Hello alex
