I know on really high horsepower cars that they’ll switch from needle bearing trunnions on the rocker arms to brass bushings. on a Harley I didn’t even know that they made a brass bushing rollers for thetappets. I’ve always use the needle bearing ones. If it was cheaper to use the brass style Harley Davison would use them, but they’re also looking for longevity and they use the needle bearing style. I’m not sure how to answer your question but I would say I’m looking for longevity so I used a needle bearing style.

in your humble opinion which tappets are better the ones with needle bearings or the ones with solid brass bushing?
