Synopsis:
Cheng Shao Shang is a young girl who was forced to grow up alone after most of her family had to leave to fight in a bloody war. Thus she becomes stubborn and untrusting. She fends for herself in a town populated by people like her, who have been left behind by the war.
One day, a talented and powerfu general named Ling Bu Yi comes to the town - and falls in love with her at first sight. The Emperor in this drama is like no other Emperor I've ever watched in a C-drama. He is actually a good guy doing what Emperors are suppose to do; take care of his people and especially those closest to him. I like the way the writers have given his character more than just the 'emperor' façade. He's a husband, a father, a friend to some, and always, a strong leader when he has to be. Using his charm on Nainai, goes right over her inexperienced head, but in comes our hero and tries to protect her. Ride em cowboy!
He's like an adventurer that completed his quest, overthrew the previous tyrant and established a new dynasty, but because he was like, a farmer, he still has that commoner's warmth and hospitality. None of that aristocratic cold etiquette things. He loves a person he'll hug them, he's mad at someone he'll kick them, if he wants to scold his dumb foster son he'll grab Ling Buyi by the scruff of his neck and shake him out. It's really lovely.
I just love his both wives one is very fragile the other hot headed,he is very vulnerable with his beloveds around

The Emperor is really a good father figure for Zishan... too bad that his son's doesn't have his talents... atleast his elder son and 5th son. The 3rd one is too arrogant... never seen atleast in c dramas that Emperor has such emotional attachments with his family members...
Nah... I think the 3rd son just has confidence. He's not going around making snarky comments. He even gives Consort Yue's brother a disapproving look when he criticizes the Crown Prince.
You can tell the emperor was probably a very handsome playboy when he was younger 😂😂😂

He's the most cute Emperor in C drama land... he was also the Emperor in dream of splendor... there he's also very kind and sweet... there he doesn't have much screen time yet he's significantly made an impact through his expressions.. he made the character very enjoyable 👌🏼
Dream of splendor was a great drama, the female lead had such grace and elegance about her. The way she danced, served tea and her soft voice was the epitome of femininity, male lead was also good, and chemistry was outstanding

@@rueluxprince6982 the emperor it's definitely the talktive, extrovert and expressive type. The empress it's timid and introvert and for her own demure it's clearly she doesn't like gossip. Consort Yue it's definitely not the type to put up with anyone if she it's not in the mood to listen therefore she doesn't care to kick out the emperor. She is the type to stay true to her feelings.😂
