Another nice display, Jim. I have a question for you today. Was it a big transition to go from single-line bridles to the multi-line bridles, such as on the big penguin? I want to take the plunge but keep seeing myself tied up in knots and tangles. What is it like to fly and maintain those bridles that have so many lines? As always, thank you for being such an ambassador for kiting.
Multi lines as on the Penguin are no trouble at all if you treat them sensibly, Richard. Just make sure when packing away not to let the lines tangle. You can daisy-chain the bridle (I should make a video of that) or put a "sock" over the lines, or just wrap the lines carefully around the kite after packing it - anything you want, but I never have a problem with that type of kite. There can be problems with things like the spinners - if a line comes loose while in action, the result can take hours to untangle!
@@JimNicholls Thanks, Jim. It's that "hours to untangle" that would put me out of business! I think I would be more inclined to learn how to construct and install new bridles, rather than have to untangle one. I'll start slowly with sleds and foils and work my way up to spinners. If you make a video on handling multi-line bridles, then that would be swell!
One giant and 2 cute penguins on a beautiful day. Enjoying your flights as always.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I try to show different items each time in order to keep it interesting.
It nice to see a better day and the larger Penguin always has a happy face when flying.
Suitable weather didn't last long, Carl. Very strong and gusty nor' west winds today, temperature 30 in town, 28 at beach (not that I'm going there!)
Another fine display Jim...love those spinner bowls...thanks for sharing....take care.
Thanks, Craig. Spinners always add interest to a kite fly, and I have quite a few!
Nice video Jim. Weather looked pretty nice to me. The news paper article was great! Congratulations. Thanks Jim!
Thank you, Dewey, I'm glad you enjoyed the story!
Great display Jim, So fun, Ron
Glad you enjoyed it, Ron. It was a good day.
very cute penguin kite I really like it🥰
It's a very good item, and the biggest penguin I've ever seen!
Brilliant video and some lovely birds...
Not the kind you usually like, Tony!
Beautiful kites sir 🙏🏼
Thanks, Vikram, I'm glad you enjoyed them.
2nd Penguin No.1 for me.
Yes, a simple modified delta, but it looks good and flies well (although it needed a fuzzy tail to be steady).
Nice penguins. We have only one from HQ😊
I used to have the little HQ penguin parafoil, but I gave it away to a young friend. I wish I still had it, as it was a nice kite.
Jim, nice display. What size is your spin bowl from Kaixuan Kites? Will it bounce on the ground like your Vertex bowls? Thanks for sharing 🐧
It's 4 feet across, Sheryl, and yes, it will bounce like the Vertex bowls, and was doing so part of the time when I made this video.

Cute!
Glad you like it, Evan!

I have a lot, but I've never counted them.
