Joyce if you can find a remedy for the cough and wheezing check to see if you have cat allergies. I am an animal lover but cat allergies are serious and it causes shortness of breath, coughing, wheezing, skin rashes.

Yes we do the same on our rural areas even in towns in Zim we have grinding mills where we take our maize for cornflour

Honestly, I have never heard or seen maize being washed! I am a Kenyan from the west!Instead of washing,women use something and they use it with the aid of passing wind to float away the impurities. Strange to see maize being washed and dried before being taken to the posh mill!
We use that also that round like tray made of bamboo to select dirty when there's wind so that dirty is quickly blown away ❤❤

Here in Northern Europe(Norway) people take it for granted that food is always available in the stores at all time. People think we are a bit crazy who grows all our vegetables and raise our own chickens, but when hard times come, we have food. We may not have much money, but we have God and he grants abundantly from the garden.

I think it's a great idea to have a machine in your village that grinds up the corn for flour. Very interesting and I think it's a much better idea instead of buying corn flour already done because you know exactly what has been done from start to finish.
Will an electric blender do the same job? I grind almond to make almond flour.

Hi Joyce I love see your family at work today and your dinner looks yummy. We grow a yellow sweet corn and just canned 16 pint jars to eat later in the year and put 6 bags of whole cleaned corn in the freezer. Thank you for showing it is a lot of work to grow crops and prepare them to keep or to eat. but it is good and a blessing from God .❤so much that you take the time to share your life and your family with us.💖

Hey Joyce it's so good to see your feeling better. I needed to let you know that if you put garlic and honey in a jar and let it sit for a couple of days it makes for a good medicine for cough and that garlic and honey has other very much needed benifits. And also if you have cod liver in liquid and put it under Lil man Jimmy feet and put socks on his feet after before he goes to bed it will definitely help dry that phlegm up and Joyce it's beneficial for all. Please take care.

Blessings this beautiful day. Have you ever tried popcorn. Please don’t come after me. Life in Africa is a mystery to me. But you place the dried corn in hot oil and it will pop but it must be stirred rapidly or it will burn. Maybe watch a video if you have never tried but it makes a delicious snack. Not sure about healthy.
Popcorn itself is a very healthy snack till we oversalt and drown it in butter.
