The Iguanas was a Garage Rock band formed in Michigan in 1963. It was Jim Osterberg's (better known as Iggy Pop) first band. He is the drummer, and was not the vocalist The Iguanas.

Not to be pedantic, but The Iguanas released this song as just "Mona" in 1965 on Forte Records (AR-201)

Rich Van Sol. Iggy (Jimmy Osterberg) is from Ypsilanti, near Ann Arbor. The Iguanas worked at & played at a resort hotel located on the shore of Michigan's thumb during summer of '66. Possibly Grindstone City.

'66 on Forte #101. Just 500 copies pressed. Band sold copies at their hotel gigs summer of '66.
