A story I remember Iofi telling once, is that when Hololive ID was just starting, Yagoo went to Indonesia and had dinner with the 3 Area 15 girls, Iofi, Risu and Moona. At the time, all 3 of them lived together, so after dinner with Yagoo, they went home. Apparently, after they got home, Iofi turned to the other 2 and said: "So, who was that old man?" I laughed so hard when I saw that clip!
Sora was the first Vtuber in Hololive, but by no means the first in general. Yagoo has cemented himself as more personable than an average CEO (much less a Japanese CEO), and more importantly is able to take jokes/memes at his expense- even laughing at them himself. His appearances in videos are rare, but special.
Yagoo is the cool CEO everybody wants to work with. He's cool and accepting, and he supports the hell out of the girls and the boys, and they really love him too. Whenever there's a sad announcement like a graduation or something you can feel his hearth literally shatter. As much as everybody memes on him, he just accepts it and has fun with it. He seems to have fun with the hololive or stars projects, like when he danced this summer, as seen in the beginning of this video. He was on a lot of japanese and worldwide magazines covers recently. Also, he's usually the one posing for the merch pictures ^^ Also, he tweets ''おめでとう！！！'' all the time, hence the omedetou bot joke. He's also known for saying そうですね (sou desu ne) all the time too xD The baseball collab was from a while back. They did one with Pacific Racing not too long ago. They does those quite often, usualy with exclusive merch. They did one with a dart bar too. Neighbula was drawn by Sana, actualy. She got a neighbula head/mask for her outfits too. Fun fact : Yagoo was accidentaly created when Subaru misread his name and it just kinda stayed xD
To prevent the fight in fanbases we all agreed on that Yagoo will always be best girl ! Also Yagoo: - Would talk to Holostars just like a friend when they debuted about the hate they get and when they feel down about not being as popular as the girls - Went out of his way as to go to Indonesia and talk directly to ID 1st GEN members - Being one of the nicest boss (Some girls didn't even realize that he is the CEO when they first met him). - Always smiling - Can take friendly banters - Being the model of his own company. - May have had a dream but let it evolve into the cute, fun, and chaotic reality we have now. Just wants everyone to be happy and have fun together. And aside from a few unfortunate mishaps, I'd have to say he did pretty well so far.
Yagoo isn't only loved and respected in this community because he is a good CEO and a good man who help the talents. He is loved and respected because he actualy is part of the community himself. He might be very busy, way too busy I might even say, but if someone ask him something and he can do it, he will go out of his way to do it. He will almost always send a tweet, message or video when one of the talents birthday happens, something you won't see often and he is part of so many event, he is almost as much the face of Hololive as Sora is. Truth be told, he might be more involved with Holostar than Hololive, but that is perfectly understandable too because Holostar was his dream project for a long time. He love the talents, all of them and his there to support them and help them when he can, but of course he will spend a little more time and effort for his own dream and no one can hold it against him especialy when he spend as much time as he does helping the girls too. And something he does that's even more impressive, he take the time to learn how to pronounce happy birthday for the talents in their own language, something not a lot of people would do if they only sent a video where subtitles could be added. He clearly love his job, love his staff and he care for both the talents and the fans. That's why he is so respected and loved. He goes aboveand beyond for the community, and we repay him with our respect and appreciation, something he never asked for but sincerely deserve.
For context: 1) Subaru created the nickname Yagoo when she mispronounced his real name 2) Mumei 'forgot' who Yagoo was, it's a running joke she has that everytime she sees Yagoo she pretends to not know who he is

I think there was a clip of Lamy jokingly asking Yagoo to march outside the Hololive office followed by all the Hololive members, but he turned her down saying he's very recognizable and so would have to worry about running into his fans.
