    The Robinson drop over the middle was because his front arm is pulled back right before the ball got there. I get you gotta do your thing but don't blame him for that drop when he was planning on catching that with both hands while letting it hit him in the body and someone takes one arm away from the equation

    Great breakdown fellas. Nice to see Jones processing better and showing accuracy on the short to mid term throws. But bottom line is if he can’t hit the deep throws it puts the offense in a handicap game after game. Draft someone next year and see what that looks like. If it doesn’t work then keep drafting QBs until we find one that clicks.

      @@Joe-l4j5d He's not processing better. Daboll/DJ has gone back to the 2022, read 1/2 of the field and scheme WRs to that side. I doubt Daboll will go back to real NFL 3 reads on both side of field offense. DJ couldn't run it 2023 or against Vikings. Seattle will be ready once DJ starts staring down his target, like the last 3 weeks.

They're doing the lords work breaking this down so we don't have to. Believe me, this ain't easy. Give them a like. It's so easy!
    P.s. I'm so happy with the progress in the offensive line. Jones shows a strong command of the offense, and as you guys have pointed out. He is good in the short intermediate zones and he was on Thursday. But he has no touch whatsoever on the deep ball. A better QB skills wise would have picked Dallas apart. Nick I think your assessment of what Daboll and Schoen think of DJ is spot on. They kept him as like a necessary evil because there wasn't an upgrade available and like you said. They valued Nabers more than everyone else but Maye.

    Robinson planned on catching that ball by letting it hit him in the chest and cupping it with both hands. When you are in motion of doing that and 1 arm is taken out of it anybody will drop that. Robinson was 100 percent right to want a flag. The refs will never see that though so he has to fight through it more. Jones needs to lead him more too. You said you don't know how he threaded that needle but he didn't. He put it behind the route making it a tight window that wasn't.

Daboll has given him a simple RPO scheme that DJ handles well, but I don;t think that's what Daboll wants to run. We can totally ignore what Daboll says after each game... *REASON FOR OPTIMISM* Over Jones' career he has repeatedly improved the most flawed part of his game. First it was fumbles, then interceptions, then pocket presence, then making the right read/challenging the defense. Right now he's doing all of those things fairly well, but his deep ball accuracy is awful. And it's a good point nick made that last week he was over throwing the deep balls, this week he underthrew. That shows me that for most of these throws he has the arm strength, he's just fucking up the timing. Also - remember when jones was known to be an accurate deep passer? When he threw it deep rarely but was hitting on a good percent? (I know giants fans overrated this but still, national media was saying it too at the time). I think if Jones improves his deep passing even marginally the giants are going to win more games. All that being said, it might already be too late with the giants at 1-3 and 0-2 in the division :/

    • @cooldude7821
      @cooldude7821 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      DJ was hitting on a good percent of deep balls before because he only threw when receivers were wide open. But how many of those receivers actually scored. Hardly any because they were inaccurate passes. Basically what you saw on that pass to Nabers was the norm. DJ ever being a good deep ball passer is a myth created by his fanatical minions.

    Jones is still money within 20 yards, and you have Daboll stubbornly running the ball into walls for almost 50% of their plays. I get it, you want the long ball but you only need 10 yards for a first down. A 1 yard run puts you in a 2nd and nine. Then a penalty and your 2nd and 14. Then Daboll draws up a long pass that even a good long ball thrower makes less tham 50% and you miss it. Suddenly your 3rd and long. Still not impressed by Daboll. Too many 3rd and longs. Pass the ball to establish the run. Dink and dunk for a whole drive. This isn't 1994.

    Daniel Jones is absolute ASS. I will continue to say this until he's off my favorite team

    I saw at least 8 or 9 far hash to outside numbers throws in this clip. Correct me if I am wrong…. Remember, Daniel Jones has had 2 injuries to his neck. You saw what Peyton Manning looked like after his neck issues as well. I just don’t think he is healthy.
