Hakita has a lot of knowledge on good video game mechanics because: 1. Obviously, he plays video games 2. He's made a lot of small games before ultrakill and used what he learned to improve and know what mechanics are fun, what mechanics arent (as fun), how mechanics can or cannot fit into a games core design, etc. 3. Hey uh, PMPB here (Proffesional Minos Prime Bullier,Im the third person to beat Minos Prime blindfolded) If you're looking to beat minos prime as fast as possible,i reccomend starting off the fight with a railcoin and just a quick sidenote, you can both parry and projectile boost Minos's attacks. Its hard to pull off but it deals exteremly good dmg to minos and the slab piercer with headshots deal great dmg to him as well, You can also do this with ''Prepare thyself !'' snake attack, by the way, on phase 2 when minos does his ''Die !'' attack if he attacks again it seems like he attacks once again with a snake so its good to parry that as well, and whenever you get your railcannon charged either phase 1 or 2, do a railcoin after minos does his ''Thy end is now !'' attack. this is because this attack leaves him vulnerable enough for a 4 coin setup. And just remember nails are really good before your railcannon gets charged By the way uhh Herb can you accept my friend request on discord because i got hijacked and banned from the discord for it, sorry about that i was high on weed before i clicked on that stupid link which is a stupid excuse i know

Believe this or not, i've been struggling on minos for so long i lost all hope of beating him. After watching this guide i've beaten him, and on the next day first try p-ranked him. lol Very good guide btw!
V2's pyramid fight is WAY harder to P-rank than P-1, imho, as there's no preliminary fight (I.e Flesh Prison). When you break them both down, P-1's difficulty comes more from avoiding death in the second phase, and doing both phases quickly enough. You'll notice that style isn't a problem, because FP's a target dummy surrounded by minions, which negates any concerns about your style meter, as you'll have more than enough to D-rank the whole fight against Minos and still get an S. V-2's fight doesn't have a dummy. It's just him, and he's just as fast as you. Landing shots are equally as hard as dodging his, and even though dying against him is usually not a problem, and you have more than enough time, you have to play decently close to perfect to maintain your style all the way through. He's faster, he's ranged, his ques have shorter tells, and while the Minos fight punished one form of crutch (Spending too long in the air to avoid grounded attacks; punished by his uppercut combos), V-2 punishes overuse of Marksman, since saving coins for that is a big source of style, and leaving then in the air is the easiest way to take unexpected damage that usually warrants a dash charge.
@@alvyna.5903You'll get the timing down for both, it just takes practice. Main way for that is just keeping your eyes on him, which does two things. One, the projectile is really tricky in that he can start throwing it in the recovery for other moves. It's very telegraphed though, as you'll see the projectile start growing before he tosses it. Two, the since the projectile tracks very hard, as long as you're looking head on, you don't have to worry about movement in any other way. Judgment IS a huge pain in the ass to dodge, though. I wouldn't even try parrying it, since the timing window to dodge it is already short, and the damage AND knockback is not worth it. Judgment's a really good one to practice getting right though, since it had really long recovery frames for free damage.
This new understanding makes the fight a ton easier. When I p ranked him, I basically spammed crouch, overload blasts, ricochets, and prayed. I barely even looked at him and fought purely on audio cues.

To anyone struggling the advice I would give is that you should ABSOLUTELY learn to parry Minos Prime's golden serpent attack since it heals you to full health every time you pull it off and is much less dangerous than getting close enough to him to get his blood on you (The tips on how to parry it given in this video are adequate). Targeting him with the nail gun magnets and coin flips is great because you don't have to actually aim, and in the instances where he stops attacking long enough to actually hit him you should take the opportunity to fire a rail shot. The interval between the break in his attacks is long enough that your rail shot should be charged up almost every time. Also zipping around the arena constantly with dash/slide jumps to mitigate the chances of getting hit directly by his nuclear dropkick is crucial to lasting longer than like 20 seconds in the fight at least for me
Just P ranked him a few days ago. The easiest way for me - setting up a sawtrap during intro - parrying him a lot - chip at his health with regular coin shots - use the screwdriver railcannon for healing and playing agressive to capitalise off the extra healing -pretty much sliding a lot I just had to use dashes tactically. You don’t need to pull a lot of flashy combos you just have to play smart.
I'm no expert on this game, but I've found that 'Die!' and 'Crush!' are avoidable without using stamina by sliding any direction and then jumping to avoid the shockwave. You don't need any mometum, either; you can just do it from a standstill.

One good tactic I found for minos is using the drill + projectile boosting on him, it makes him bleed like crazy and since he is almost exclusively a melee boss youll take far less damage then you ever would if you arent good at dodging
I finally beat him on violent, got the game 1 week ago and I've finished 100%ing act 0-2 and P ranks on all difficulties. Prime sanctums are different though, not sure if I can P rank them on violent.
hey, just something i think i cracked myself about the "JaWDgEmENT" move on non-parry phase 2: if you just dash towards minos phasing through him you can use your inv-frames to avoid the physical and shockwave damage altogether with just direction+dash or just dash imput, altho this must not be performed from far distances, try to be in a very short but not point blank distance from minos when he cue the judgement attack.

thanks for the guide!
As a prime soul i approve of this guide in helping me kill my own kind 👍👍👍
One good tactic I found for minos is using the drill + projectile boosting on him, it makes him bleed like crazy and since he is almost exclusively a melee boss youll take far less damage then you ever would if you arent good at dodging
12:13
Caught trying to parry with the knuckleblaster
8:11 perfectly cut
I was stuck on this fight for 50 minutes until I learnt you could slide under the ground pound attacks then i beat it first try lol. Thanks
5:27 I'm only here cause my friend told and show me that the wiki said the divekick is taken from kamen rider, and by golly gee it kinda is
I finally beat him on violent, got the game 1 week ago and I've finished 100%ing act 0-2 and P ranks on all difficulties. Prime sanctums are different though, not sure if I can P rank them on violent.
this is the one guy who can say "I END THIS NOW" or "DIE" and I fucking tf2 ragdoll
I finally beat this guy after like 30 minutes of trying a couple weeks ago, it might be time to see if i can grind out that P rank then
P ranking minos on violent is easy once you learn to dodge all of his attacks
YOOOO thanks herb ily
Just got P rank, thank you Ultrakill god.
Explosive dropkick of annihilation?
Cloaker from payday would be proud
Not me studying the the attacks so I can re-create life to make shorts
hey, just something i think i cracked myself about the "JaWDgEmENT" move on non-parry phase 2: if you just dash towards minos phasing through him you can use your inv-frames to avoid the physical and shockwave damage altogether with just direction+dash or just dash imput, altho this must not be performed from far distances, try to be in a very short but not point blank distance from minos when he cue the judgement attack.
