@@deitert07 Your hypothetical is a false one for those who repent of their sin and believe the gospel. If one is truly born again, they will not go to hell because God keeps His promises. Now, for people who have faith in themselves, or believe in works unto salvation, then I suppose they can carry on with your hypothetical in which there would be no sufficient case to be made on their behalf. The only case to be made would be in the Son of God boring our sin so we may be forgiven. Which again, the person whom that was their case, would already be in heaven

I went to a Pentecostal church for a while and it messed me up for awhile bevause I started to think I was not saved because I have never Spoken In tongues . This was a fantastic message . Thank u Jesus for your grace and the guilt I feel when I sin .

This message changed me. It led me to repentance and to mourn over my sin. I am thankful the Holy Spirit shows me my imperfection and reveals to me Gods perfection and forgiveness through Christ Jesus.

I just got very spiritually and emotionally abused by an old friend who was downright rude and hateful to me because I believe 2 non salvational things differently than they do. Don't do that to people. No reason to rebuke and chastise a believer who has done nothing contrary to the bible. Save it for a believer who is doing wrong according to the bible and needs to be lovingly admonished.
@Austin Hartford he meant you don't just say the Lord's prayers accepting you believe in Jesus and than continue to live like the world. You are decieved brother. He constantly talks about how we are saved by faith through Grace from Jesus. But he warns that it's not just an experience. Once saved always saved is a lie from the devil.
Paul the "UN ear tickler! " Thank you brother Washer for helping me realize how far I have come in my conversion through Christ. I used to be a heavy drinker but now I cannot imagine having so much as a beer. I used to be a drug addict but now I really dislike taking pain meds post op. even. I used porn. most of my life but now I cannot stand even the thought of viewing ones nudity, or even an unintentional glance at a TH-cam ad pic of an obviously braless woman. I used to love watching violent movies and movies about evil supernatural things but now I cannot watch so much as an old film noir crime drama because of the murders portrayed. I used to keep company with others who enjoyed these things but they are all gone now. Dead in the flesh and in their sin, or gone because I chose to distance myself or they left because they did not like me growing apart from them and going after God. I have 1 major hurdle to overcome, cigarette smoking. But now I have faith that He will be there to help me with that as well. God Bless you all and remember we are all short on time concerning these end times and The Rapture that can take place anytime now.

Jesus also said to the apostle Philip when he said to Jesus, "show us the Father, then we will believe" , after Jesus gave him a gentle rebuke, he pointed to himself, "if you see me you see the Father" Let Scripture interpret Scripture. And I totally understand your dislike of Calvinism, I too thought this way in my younger years until I really studied the scriptures for myself only to find that these men may see some things a little differently than I do but much of what they believe is biblical and therefore are to be seen as brothers in Christ and not as heritics or enemies. Now I know that there are some hyper Calvinist who may take things too far... But let's learn to be gracious and try to understand true bible loving and beliveing brothers instead of squashing them. I can garentee you that Paul Washer believes and teaches all of the core uncompromising doctrines of the faith. Are there wolves out there? For sure. Is Paul one of them absolutely not. Why are people struggling with the question “ are you truly saved?” Isn’t it better to know now than to find out later? Your works don’t save you but they are evidence that you are saved.
The devil can attack the assurance of Christians. I know when I was first saved every time I would fall to sin satan would constantly shake my confidence in Christ

I remember a few yrs back I heard his shocking message to the youth on salvation. He is RIGHT. When i was a child I was taught the sinner prayer. So I said the ABC s of salvation sinner prayer. In the meantime living my life how ever I pleased. Sure I believed in God sure I knew i was a sinner sure i said the sinners prayer so I must be saved. It wasnt until I was 25 yrs old alone in my living room.I was broken from life broken from sin and needed help. I got down on the floor on my knees and sobbed to God.Telling him how sorry I was for my lifestyle and telling him how much I needed him and wanted him. I then understood what i was and what Jesus did for me at the cross.I then felt light.This heavy weight was lifted off my shoulders and the weight was my sin. Days followed I began to want to know him more.I started reading my Bible which I never understood before and suddenly it made sense. I started looking at sin in a different light and I didnt like it.I felt this burning flame in my chest of love from the Holy Spirit that made me desire him even more. I then realized I was never truly saved until that night in my living room.The dangerous part is I thought I was. Salvation is a very dangerous topic and the Holy Spirit HAS to be in on it .
The sinners prayer is a big fraud. I seen Samaritan’s purse do that to storm victims. Ask them to read a prayer and sign a paper confirming they either dedicated or rededicated their life to Christ. No actually regeneration

But if you must put it that way, the ticket is Jesus Christ and Him Crucified, We must seek His FACE ask for forgiveness and repent of our sins and turn away from them. Go in your room and ask for forgiveness ask God to show you your sins because you being blind will not realize your sins He must show you, cry out to Him repent of your wickedness and turn away from it. Search for God as you would if you missed placed a million dollars that is how you find God. This is the only way, God will break you of your sins and you will be hurt and broken and then you will realize you need a savior and that is Jesus Christ, God the Father crushed Him for your sin. Paul Washer has helped me I thought was Christian did not know why couldn't get victory over my sin,s Paul helped me I was looking wrong place was looking at what I had done not what Christ did I was reading my bible daily and was crying out to the Lord I dont know how it was supernatural as Paul says I was born again reading psalms 51 Jesus is my Hero he saved me now I walk in the light loving every minute of it but I also feel I owe my life to Paul Washer he is my earthly hero . I pray for anyone with a hard heart that no matter how much suffering you must face, God will soften you and crush your pride enough for you to get on your knees and repent. A moment of weakness is MORE THAN WORTH an eternity with your Heavenly Father. It took some of the hardest things I've ever been through to see this.

A man confessed his love to a woman and after marriage beats her up everyday. Would you say he loves her? Why? Work does not earn us salvation but it is the evidence of us having truly believed in Him.

They only take a small part of the verse, and then don't speak about the other versus all around it. Thus perverting the Lords words. Paul Washer surely was afflicted and had suffered in the name of our Lord Jesus! But about His black eye, He just had a home accident because of a crowbar. Lets thank God it was nothing serious (i hope it won't get worse) !
Listening to Paul Washer is like trying to drink from a firehose. I want to get all of God's message coming through him but it's coming so fast my mind can't get it all the first time. Need to listen several times to soak it in. I'm going to steal this message and give it to our children's group, and others. So helpful in this Era of no repentance.
Listen to these sermons multiple times, yes indeed that would be beneficial. Even more greater reward will come once you read the gospel over and over and over again. @@mitchellc4 are you saying Jesus is a LIAR? Jesus has the attributes of God, one of which is the ability to forgive sin. PS This really isnt an intellectually high bar so to speak.
I remember being a little girl, maybe 8 or 9, and my father trying to explain grace to me: what it meant and how you couldn't go to Heaven without it, and certainly not by being good. He told me about an imaginary scenario about a man dying and then meeting Jesus. Jesus asks the man about his life and asks him to list all of his good deeds and qualities and why he thinks he deserves to go to Heaven. Then my father starts describing everything the man told Jesus: helping the poor and needy, saving people from a burning building, using all of his spare money to help others, etc. Etc. He lists every single thing he can possibly think of; then Jesus says, " Is that everything ?" The man says, "Yes ; so do i qualify?? How many points did I earn? Is it enough? ". Jesus says to the man, " After considering everything and weighing your good deeds, you have qualified for 1 point." The man was completely shocked and stunned. After a few moments of silence, he says to Jesus " All of that only qualifies as one point???? How then can you possibly earn enough points to go to Heaven, if doing your absolute best only equals one point.? If that's the case, then noone will qualify for Heaven and Noone will be able to earn enough points to get in!". At this point, Jesus says, "Now you finally understand; there is absolutely no way you by yourself can be good enough to get into Heaven. You can only get to Heaven when you realize that there is NO way to earn your way into Heaven no matter how many good deeds you do. " The man then said, " I see now that i was not good enough, and i don't deserve Heaven. My best efforts only earned one point, so based on that, i will never deserve to get in. Please forgive me.: Then a bell rings and Jesus says " Now you have earned enough points. You cannot get in by your own efforts no matter how hard you try. You can only enter Heaven when you realize that it is only by accepting the free gift of grace because of what Jesus has done for you. There is no other way; as long as you keep thinking you can do enough and earn your way in, you can never enter. You can only enter Once you realize that Only Jesus could live a life good enough to qualify and earn enough points; once you can realize that and understand that it is only by using the points Jesus earned on your behalf, and not because of anything you deserve, then you can enter Heaven. That is what is meant by grace", and then the man was allowed into Heaven. I'm paraphrasing because this conversation was 50 years ago, and of course it is not written out this way in the Bible, but as a way to explain grace to a child, it worked very well, because then i understood. It is difficult to explain an abstract, intangible concept like grace to a young child, but this helped me to understand it, and the fact that Heaven did not depend on how perfect i was or how hard i worked to get there by showing me that even my absolute best deeds, might as well equal one point, because it will never even be close to the perfection needed. I understood grace as a free gift.

Agree. I’ve listened to many teachers myself. Paul washer is the only one who scares me. I say that is a good thing. He doesn’t just teach all happy happy all is saved. He teaches the truth about Jesus Christ. There are a couple who teach like him. John MacArthur which i feel is where Paul Washer learned how to speak to us. Paul washers voice just cuts through. Pull up heartcry on here. It’s his missionary. He has tons of short teachings. But his hour 2 hour long sermons he is just amazing at. God truly guides him.

The only case to be made would be in the Son of God boring our sin so we may be forgiven. Which again, the person whom that was their case, would already be in heaven

I just got very spiritually and emotionally abused by an old friend who was downright rude and hateful to me because I believe 2 non salvational things differently than they do. Don't do that to people. No reason to rebuke and chastise a believer who has done nothing contrary to the bible. Save it for a believer who is doing wrong according to the bible and needs to be lovingly admonished.

Paul the "UN ear tickler! " Thank you brother Washer for helping me realize how far I have come in my conversion through Christ. I used to be a heavy drinker but now I cannot imagine having so much as a beer. I used to be a drug addict but now I really dislike taking pain meds post op. even. I used porn. most of my life but now I cannot stand even the thought of viewing ones nudity, or even an unintentional glance at a TH-cam ad pic of an obviously braless woman. I used to love watching violent movies and movies about evil supernatural things but now I cannot watch so much as an old film noir crime drama because of the murders portrayed. I used to keep company with others who enjoyed these things but they are all gone now. Dead in the flesh and in their sin, or gone because I chose to distance myself or they left because they did not like me growing apart from them and going after God. I have 1 major hurdle to overcome, cigarette smoking. But now I have faith that He will be there to help me with that as well. God Bless you all and remember we are all short on time concerning these end times and The Rapture that can take place anytime now.

I’m so thankful I found this, I honestly can’t remember a time since I was just a child of hearing the true Gospel, this is exactly why lots of people are deceived because they have not heard the true Gospel! Thank you Heavenly Father that the Gospel is still reaching people, I needed this!
Why are people struggling with the question “ are you truly saved?” Isn’t it better to know now than to find out later?
Your works don’t save you but they are evidence that you are saved.
The devil can attack the assurance of Christians. I know when I was first saved every time I would fall to sin satan would constantly shake my confidence in Christ

I was referring to why were some people offended by the question. I didn’t word myself properly 😅. From some of the comments it’s clear that a lot of people are offended by this and call Paul legalistic. It isn’t legalistic to examine our hearts! I love him and hate him at the same time: My spirit is highly grateful to what I needed to hear while my flesh is pierced with convictions. I can't wait to be completely free from this wretched body.
I remember a few yrs back I heard his shocking message to the youth on salvation. He is RIGHT.
When i was a child I was taught the sinner prayer. So I said the ABC s of salvation sinner prayer.
In the meantime living my life how ever I pleased.
Sure I believed in God sure I knew i was a sinner sure i said the sinners prayer so I must be saved.
It wasnt until I was 25 yrs old alone in my living room.I was broken from life broken from sin and needed help. I got down on the floor on my knees and sobbed to God.Telling him how sorry I was for my lifestyle and telling him how much I needed him and wanted him. I then understood what i was and what Jesus did for me at the cross.I then felt light.This heavy weight was lifted off my shoulders and the weight was my sin.
Days followed I began to want to know him more.I started reading my Bible which I never understood before and suddenly it made sense. I started looking at sin in a different light and I didnt like it.I felt this burning flame in my chest of love from the Holy Spirit that made me desire him even more.
I then realized I was never truly saved until that night in my living room.The dangerous part is I thought I was.
Salvation is a very dangerous topic and the Holy Spirit HAS to be in on it .
The sinners prayer is a big fraud. I seen Samaritan’s purse do that to storm victims. Ask them to read a prayer and sign a paper confirming they either dedicated or rededicated their life to Christ. No actually regeneration

We must seek His FACE ask for forgiveness and repent of our sins and turn away from them.

I pray for anyone with a hard heart that no matter how much suffering you must face, God will soften you and crush your pride enough for you to get on your knees and repent. My Lord, You are all powerful. Times like this makes us swing like leaves on the trees. We hold on dearly to the branch. Yet, the winds will not detach us from the brunch because it is You who is the tree. The tree of life.

They only take a small part of the verse, and then don't speak about the other versus all around it. Thus perverting the Lords words. Listening to Paul Washer is like trying to drink from a firehose. I want to get all of God's message coming through him but it's coming so fast my mind can't get it all the first time. Need to listen several times to soak it in. I'm going to steal this message and give it to our children's group, and others. So helpful in this Era of no repentance.
Listen to these sermons multiple times, yes indeed that would be beneficial.

PS This really isnt an intellectually high bar so to speak.
I remember being a little girl, maybe 8 or 9, and my father trying to explain grace to me: what it meant and how you couldn't go to Heaven without it, and certainly not by being good.
He told me about an imaginary scenario about a man dying and then meeting Jesus. Jesus asks the man about his life and asks him to list all of his good deeds and qualities and why he thinks he deserves to go to Heaven.
Then my father starts describing everything the man told Jesus: helping the poor and needy, saving people from a burning building, using all of his spare money to help others, etc. Etc. He lists every single thing he can possibly think of; then Jesus says, " Is that everything ?" The man says, "Yes ; so do i qualify?? How many points did I earn? Is it enough? ". Jesus says to the man, " After considering everything and weighing your good deeds, you have qualified for 1 point." The man was completely shocked and stunned. After a few moments of silence, he says to Jesus " All of that only qualifies as one point???? How then can you possibly earn enough points to go to Heaven, if doing your absolute best only equals one point.? If that's the case, then noone will qualify for Heaven and Noone will be able to earn enough points to get in!". At this point, Jesus says, "Now you finally understand; there is absolutely no way you by yourself can be good enough to get into Heaven. You can only get to Heaven when you realize that there is NO way to earn your way into Heaven no matter how many good deeds you do. " The man then said, " I see now that i was not good enough, and i don't deserve Heaven. My best efforts only earned one point, so based on that, i will never deserve to get in. Please forgive me.: Then a bell rings and Jesus says " Now you have earned enough points. You cannot get in by your own efforts no matter how hard you try. You can only enter Heaven when you realize that it is only by accepting the free gift of grace because of what Jesus has done for you. There is no other way; as long as you keep thinking you can do enough and earn your way in, you can never enter. You can only enter Once you realize that Only Jesus could live a life good enough to qualify and earn enough points; once you can realize that and understand that it is only by using the points Jesus earned on your behalf, and not because of anything you deserve, then you can enter Heaven. That is what is meant by grace", and then the man was allowed into Heaven.
I'm paraphrasing because this conversation was 50 years ago, and of course it is not written out this way in the Bible, but as a way to explain grace to a child, it worked very well, because then i understood. It is difficult to explain an abstract, intangible concept like grace to a young child, but this helped me to understand it, and the fact that Heaven did not depend on how perfect i was or how hard i worked to get there by showing me that even my absolute best deeds, might as well equal one point, because it will never even be close to the perfection needed. I understood grace as a free gift.

Agree. I’ve listened to many teachers myself. Paul washer is the only one who scares me. I say that is a good thing. He doesn’t just teach all happy happy all is saved. He teaches the truth about Jesus Christ. There are a couple who teach like him. John MacArthur which i feel is where Paul Washer learned how to speak to us. Paul washers voice just cuts through. Pull up heartcry on here. It’s his missionary. He has tons of short teachings. But his hour 2 hour long sermons he is just amazing at. God truly guides him.

@@RepentfollowJesus don't cherry pick some isolated scripture and apply it to the whole bible. Take out signs and wonders and the bible would be a tiny book. As a child I was healed and raised up from a death bed by God's mercy and power. I speak from experience not some man's theology.

The fundamental problem is the corruption of Gods word.

What a blessing Paul Washer is to me and many others! I prayed today that the Lord might give me assurance of my salvation and by His grace He allowed me to come upon this video without even searching for specifically for it. It was all the things I needed to hear and more. Amazing!

Sadly not enough pastors and Christians preach on the doctrine of the perseverance of the saints.
