Red Dress Special Women’s Smoke Dance

Special Hosted by Head Female Smoke Dancer Aryien Stevens at the Salamanca Veterans Powwow 2022. Women's Smoke Dance special to honor and remember MMIW "Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women" and to raise awareness in order for our communities to heal and end the violence and abuse against our women. All dancers were required to wear a red dress in order to participate in the special. Salamanca Veterans Powwow is annually held in Salamanca, NY on the third weekend of July.
