- Hello everyone, and welcome back! Today, we have some exciting updates on a major flyover project that is set to transform Phnom Penh’s infrastructure and improve urban mobility.
Now, let’s move on to this project-the Morodok Techo Flyover, Phnom Penh’s largest interchange project. This massive infrastructure initiative, also developed by OCIC, has been making great progress and is set for full completion in just 68 days!
Work on this ambitious $36.8 million project began in August 2022, aiming to ease traffic congestion by linking Samdech Hun Sen Boulevard, Preah Monivong Boulevard, and the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces Boulevard, also known as Street 271. This impressive three-level interchange has already hit key milestones. The first level was temporarily opened on December 25, 2023, followed by the second level on April 1, 2024, just in time for the Khmer New Year. These early openings have significantly helped ease traffic flow while the remaining work, including underpasses and connecting roads, nears completion.
By April 2025, the Morodok Techo Flyover will be fully operational, playing a key role in enhancing traffic efficiency and safety for both residents and visitors in Phnom Penh.
With these two major projects nearing completion, Phnom Penh is taking a giant leap toward a more connected and efficient road network.
