The excuse they gave Richard Herring for why he couldn't have the penis as his specialist subject was because he'd written a book on it iirc, so maybe they wouldn't have let James do 2016 music??

Funny, I am from Philadelphia and have NEVER heard of the ice cream mentioned at 2:13. Interesting how terms and phrases grow and get a life of their own outside their original realm of influence. For example, there's an expression we use here all the time for yogurt, breakfast sausage, and nacho chips; we call it "The Posh Londoner."
Wait… is that, like… all mushed together? Or is it like, you eat a tub of yogurt, and then you eat some sausage on nachos? Coz if it’s all together that sounds insane
At least we can assume Vermont was at least a slightly educated guess, since that's where Ben & Jerry's is from? Some people in the US forget VT's a state, too :/ Doesn't excuse the state of Chicago, though.
Never seen mastermind before this clip and those drum sounds are creepy af, anyone else notice they're the same as the Inglorious Basterds soundtrack whenever something bad was going to happen?
Ok, I got like 3 questions (of the 'harder' ones) right: Häagen-Dazs, Mortal Combat and Parakeet (pure guesswork tho). So all in all he did incredible.
Having not watched this show before, why are the questions 30 minutes long? "You get one and a half minutes" and a full minute of that is going to be asking the actual questions so you only get 2 questions.
Always four contestants, with two rounds. As you can see from the scores it is possible to have up to 10 questions per round ( if you are quick to answer!). First round is your specialised subject, 2nd round General Knowledge.
