I think most of these points stay true beyond the beginner stage. Playing lighter on the strings is something I continue to improve after 10 years, timing and rhythm is something you have to consciously practice, being patient with yourself but critical enough to notice mistakes (like when you are pressing too hard for example) is a blanket requirement for improving any skill. Picking wide (as well as a million other picking nuances like angling, grip, etc.) becomes more of an obstacle in the intermediate and advanced levels rather than in the beginning, I think, but absolutely good advice. I like this video because it doesn't throw a billion things at a beginner to change, just a few pointers that have a large impact. One improvement I would make is to put chapters/time markers to split up the video. Helps jump around and quickly note all the tips before jumping in.
