- We survived our first few months as parents! And so did Bowie! #winning LOL But in all seriousness, that first few months is as tough as everyone warned us it would be... actually, probably tougher. And far more incredible than anyone could possibly explain with human words. Wanted to share a quick life update alongside my lovely husband, Josh Beech because you were all so supportive of my pregnancy updates the whole way along and this next chapter has been a trip! xo

I have a 9 week old and was an unexpectant c section... it’s like you both spied on my husband and I’s nightly conversations 😂 no clue the recovery of a c section! Thank you for this video to know we aren’t the only ones struggling through!

Lmao the tough bit has just started for me at 4-5 months. My girl didn’t sleep much as a newborn either and now she sleeps even less. Your husband is amazing. Mine was gone for the first 5 months due to being in the military. It’s def doable alone. I also had an emergency c section. It’s definitely rough !

I had one also this Mother's Day! I'm 35 and just had my first baby(and last lol) emergency c section and all during a pandemic! I made it so far lol
It does get better...and it's so wonderful to see them grow and learn!!! Our little girl is almost one and we hope to adopt number 2 soon!! You guys are doing great!!! Your glowing smiles are awesome to watch!!

Your make up looks so natural but so flawless... but i would have to say, the first few months are a biggest adjustment. But my daughter is 2 and i would say 18-24 month is the hardest so far. But you guys are doing great. It’s always a challenge but every milestone is a prize!

Thank you for sharing the truthful hardships of the first couple of months! Everything you both were talking about is exactly what I’m going through right now. Had my baby girl on Jan 1st via unexpected Csection, and she’s having major stomach issues that has her screaming from 6pm-2am. My husband went back to work right after 1 week and it’s TOUGH! I’m hopeful it will all pass soon but it’s so hard to see right now 🤣
Ahh mama, hang in there! I promise you it does get better and I agree with the comment below that the best advice I ever received was enjoy every phase as must as you can because it all changes so quickly and then they're on the the next. I know that hard to fathom when baby's crying nonstop but since altering my diet, Bowie's hours of hysterical crying have stopped and I do miss her being so teeny tiny and new. Sending you a big high five for taking this challenge on solo while your husband is back at work because I can't imagine the strength that takes and more importantly, sending you a big hug in the moments you need it most. You're not alone. You got this! xo

Bowie is beautiful! My daughter is 9 months old and she is mobile now! My best piece of advice I have ever got was enjoy every stage, each stage brings new ups and downs but it all goes by so quickly! ♥️

Shenae you look so pretty with or w/o make-up. You all make such a cute family. I like how you all live such a normal life. You don't live in this huge mansion or act all snooty like other actor's, singers or reality stars. I've always enjoyed watching Degrassi and liked your character. Being a first time parent is really hard. I found it easy because I had to help my mom with my 3 younger sister's. Back then, my mom used cloth diapers so it was a bit harder. My dad never changed my sister's diapers because he felt uncomfortable because they were girl's. That is why I guess I pretty much knew how to take care of my own daughter's. It's nice to see your husband help with your baby girl. Many men don't help as much. As a Mexican American we grew up drinking different herbal teas for different problems. We would boil Manzanilla (chamomile), not the tea bags. We added just a tad bit of sugar or Karo clear syrup just for taste. Also, boiling cabbage leaves and drinking the water part supposedly relaxes the baby or helps them sleep. I could give you different (Mex-Amer) herbal teas for different problems. Thanks for sharing your parenting skills, you both are doing a great job. Sorry for writing this long story. 👏👍❤
I totally agree with you about colic. I think a lot of doctors call everything colic though, and don’t look into anything. My daughter had major stomach issues, which was called colic. It wasn’t. It took a long time for me to figure out how to fix it, and I did. She had a few intolerances, she had trouble digesting proteins early on. It went away after 9 months.
I was diagnosed with colic as a baby, but I had an iron intolerance. It caused a lot of bad side effects, some of them permeant!
So my point is, doctors should definitely be very thorough before diagnosing colic, although I know it must be difficult because they can’t really do any testing or anything.

👏 🙌 U survived wait to the toddler tantrum/threenager stage 🙈 I have a 5year old, 4year old & 9month old. My husband tells me I would smash at the SAS listening to squealing pretty much all day long 😭😂 breastfed all babies still am and it def is all to do with diet I have had to cut out quite alot. But it's worth it for the health of ur baby. Hi from Northern Ireland by the way... Have just found ur channel binge watching 😍😍
Emma Bowles definitely agree with you here! I sometimes wish I could go back to the 3 to 6 month stage. My son is almost 2 and omg the temper and the whining and crying is so much worse then a little baby. We love them but they drive us crazy! I think the first few weeks are hard with the first as we are adjusting being a mom and learning.

My little man is 3 months too! He was born 2 months early though so it’s a little different for us. I didn’t even get to meet him for a week. But Lordy, I hope these are the hard months and that we made it through!!!

This was adorable.
So not only did I have a 4 year old (my husband’s son from his first marriage) but my husband had to go back to work 2 days after we got out of the hospital and I was recovering from a c-section! And then we moved when I was 12 days post-partum! I am currently 33 weeks and I told my husband if he goes back to work any sooner than 2 weeks that I will hurt him! Lol
It’s definitely hard. I had twins a month ago and my husband had to leave a month ago. I wish he was here

Omg with the puking and poo part, it sounds like me. my daughter is two and a half months and it seems like she projectile pukes only with me and I get the messiest diapers. Not with her dad it's all on me lol she just had her two month immunizations and I'm exhausted because she's not sleeping through the night anymore and pretty fussy most the day since the immunizations. I agree, to all the single parents or parents with multiple kids kudos. This is much harder then I thought. It's worth it but it is hard
