Big sean is one of my favorite rappers but we must come to the fact that these rappers/celebs are people too. He said he was dealing with depression and anxiety in the late 2010s. Gotta let him handle his business to find happiness again

Until all his legal troubles go away, it’s gonna be awhile before Rocky can actually put out an album to show his worth in the “big three” in my opinion. He’s super talented but hasn’t put out the music to show for it consistently.
@@MrEOM41 yea man, he was HEAVY in the mixtape era and the Finally Famous taps are up there in DatPiff legend. You may have had to be there, or just been in that market.
i respect Sean. prioritizing mental health, and being funny. the power of a funny rapper shouldnt be underestimated. but he came to prominence prior to trap, so yeah, his bodyof work feels older because it can literally sound like what came before. i think our culture, in general, takes kindness for weakness. and he’s been seen as too nice to reapect. but imo, a lotta “swag/mumble” rappers would love to neutralize the ones that can easily outperform them, dexterity-wise. JCole is fortunate: this video points out how he was a meme, like how some ppl treat sean, but he strategized a way to outgrow that big sean’s not hurting, besides how hes seen, but o too wish him more success
i saw alot of ppl making Kendrick jokes when Precision dropped, but I honestly think this is serendipity for Sean. I like Sean, and this is perfect timing for Sean to capture lightening. BUT he ABSOLUTELY has to swirtxh us his rhyme schemes and candences, shesh 😂
Big Sean was killing it back then man. Nick Minaj also to his flow as well for a little bit at the start of her career. Drake's flow on Foever is Big Sean's flow facts.

The sad thing about this was that the hype of his freestyle was drowned by Kendrick, which pretty much sums up why he was not on the level of the big 3. I was always a fan of Sean and he made lots of great music, but when it was time to rap with elite rappers like Em, Lil Wayne or Kendrick, he was always sorely outrapped, and that's what made him fall short.
If I can get a Sean album, Chance album, Cordae album and/or a J Cole project (that isn't off season), imma be a happy camper. Oh yeah let's not forget Carter 6
The real problem w Big Sean is, he has everything you need but then his albums are not upto par collectively compared to the others. He can rap, has bars, has phenomenal feature verses but every album has always fell short. Dark Sky Paradise has aged well but that’s about it. He’s very similar to a Jadakiss, Fabolous.. rappers who are great, great mixtapes, great moments but their albums fell short. You could argue his best work is the mixtapes.. this is coming from a guy who is more of a Sean fan compared to the “Big 3”

8:30 the j Cole corny conversation stopped when his verse on "a lot" went crazy.

Big Sean is extremely likeable. He seems like a chill dude he’s literally unproblematic makes music n dips out.
Forgot to mention Wiz Khalifa. In the early 2010’s, he was apart of that group you mentioned 💯.
And then Kendrick just swooped in and took his light with the like that verse, kinda like the control verse😅😅😅
