Hello, What a beautiful kitten 😻. I own an 8 yrs old British Shorthair retired show/breeding male. It is best not to wash their coat too often as they have a double pelt often times found in long hair cats. It is however recommended to brush them often as they will shed (summer months). Their fur is more on the dry/soft side hence the reason to not wash often. I will wash from time to time his hind quarters (not often) if he has a messy bottom. Good luck with your new baby, they do have great personalities and are such sweet cats 😻

Great choice of food bowls.The tilt helps the British Shorthairs with getting their short snouts into position. Get used to regular brushing especially Winter and Spring. Their double coat will keep you busy for 15 minutes a day..lol

We just got a kitten today it’s the same Color as yours, his name is Smoky when I got him home he just run around and didn’t try to hide, BTW he’s 3 month + super duper playful ( very talkative )

Hey I don’t have a British short hair but i have kitten and he likes diamond from kittens . I usually put warm water on top of it to make it a little softer for his teeth and he loves it .

I feed my kittens mainly frozen raw, but they get 1/4th cup of dry food before bed. They were getting the brand Rawz before, but I switched over to Origen Regional Red. Both foods first 7 ingredients are meat with Origen having more variety then Rawz. I switched from Rawz because I didn’t like the heavy use of synthetic vitamins. Origen also has a lower carb count then the Rawz. There are not a lot of dry foods on the market with low carb count or meat for that matter. Always look at the first 5 ingredients of the food because those make up the majority of the product.
