Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is an upcoming action-adventure game developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man, it features a narrative inspired by the long-running comic book mythology while also deriving from various adaptations in other media. It is the third entry in the Marvel's Spider-Man series, acting as a sequel to Marvel's Spider-Man (2018) and a follow-up to Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales (2020). In this installment, Peter Parker and Miles Morales struggle to navigate the next steps in their personal lives while combating an assortment of villains, among them a private militia of mercenaries led by Kraven the Hunter, the sand-based criminal Sandman, the monstrous Lizard, and the extraterrestrial Venom symbiote, which bonds itself to Parker and negatively influences him, threatening to destroy his personal relationships.
Gameplay builds on the foundation established by its predecessors, with an emphasis on the multiple playstyles afforded by Peter Parker and Miles Morales as their respective Spider-Men. The game expands on their existing traversal and combat abilities, including new web-based gadgets and suits that can be unlocked through progressing the story, as well as introducing the former Spider-Man's symbiote suit, granting Parker completely unique abilities from his previous playable appearance. As with the prior games, content outside the main story route consists of completing side-missions and obtaining collectibles dispersed throughout the game's open world sandbox, with the player able to switch between Parker and Morales to complete dedicated objectives for each of them.
Discussions regarding a proper sequel to Marvel's Spider-Man began during the game's development, with open story threads for future titles being teased across both it and Miles Morales. The game was officially announced in September 2021. Creative director Bryan Intihar, game director Ryan Smith, narrative lead Jon Paquette and art director Jacinda Chew from Insomniac Games respectively reprise their duties from prior entries, while Yuri Lowenthal, Nadji Jeter and Laura Bailey return to headline the game's ensemble voice cast, which comprises other returning actors and characters from the previous games. Jim Pirri and Tony Todd join the ensemble as the voices of Kraven and Venom, respectively.

Kraven's theme music is amazing, man. It gives you that sense of dread when he appears because you KNOW something rank is about to happen.
This Lizard design was better than The Amazing Spider-Man movie

Kraven in this game is written so well. He is very straight-forward, but the way its explained and all his arguments generally make sense for a villain like him.

I think Kraven should be approved as pure evil for turning dr Connors into the lizard

Worse, he injected on dr Connors a different formula that makes him bigger, and more monstrous than ever. And he released the worst villains in New York. All of that for a hunt before he die by cancer
And hunt our favorite villains like Vulture and Scorpion

2:16 thinking this is what Dylan conners would look like in the Sam Raimi universe, like he can still turn into a lizard, but not completely Feral, but intelligent.
One consistent pattern with the design of the lizard is that both of his lab coat sleeves are always intact. I'll explain. Dr. Connors amputated arm is hidden but his sleeve is folded up and pinned in place. By rights when he transforms into the lizard, that sleeve should be more damaged, as the arm regenerates at a fast rate. Like it would push through the folded up material, or perhaps shred the entire section, depending upon how fast it grows back.
That’s what I’ve been thinking too. I drew my version of lizard with that sleeve missing. In spectacular Spider-Man, both sleeves are torn off
I like that they adapted that in between stage from the comics. Where Connor’s is just a regular human with reptilian eyes & green scaly skin. I always thought it helped sell the humanity in him being lost. And I felt like the Amazing Spider-Man film didn’t got far enough ought with that.
This scene was so intense man! So many good moments from this game alone. Still got the chills watching this bck.

@@salmanalshatti9209That's kinda crazy, considering the fact that Peter is voiced by Yuri Lowenthal, who voiced teenage Ben 10 in the cartoons.
@@jpfan4life812 I'm pretty sure that was the reason why. Just watch as the third game brings Gwen Stacy or have Cindy Moon be played by Tara Strong (10-year old Ben's voice actor)
All Curt wanted was to hug Martha and Billy and the Symbiote took his arm and Sergei turned him into the Monster he became that Pete has been fighting from the Last 11 years
Connors became the Lizard in 2015 and Peter has been fighting Connors reptilian alter-ego several times. Peter did manage to cure Connors by using his blood as an antidote, but the cure only worked temporarily. Since Connors was still dealing with his Lizard persona, he was forced to distance himself from Martha and Billy. Connors still respected his wife’s decision on not getting involved with him further because he didn’t want to ruin his son’s life. I think that Connors should’ve contained the symbiote first before he tried to study it up close. Then he wouldn’t have lost his arm, he wouldn’t have studied reptile DNA to grow back his missing arm, he wouldn’t be hunted down by a suicidal hunter, and most of all his wife and son would still be with him. Also, Peter and Mary Jane became sympathetic over Connors’ plight and what he was going through. Both Peter and Mary Jane know that Connors is a good person and I think that they can try to be there for Connors when he needs it.
OK he did that on purpose. Next time, if there’s going to be a fight between Kraven and the lizard, I’d rather see him cure him than just infected him just for an imagination of facing a prehistoric reptile.

Yeah. The only “new” villains introduced were literally Kraven and Venom.
The original game is set 8 years after Pete became Spiderman. He pretty much a mature experience Spiderman with a lost list of villains in his rouges gallery in the first game.

It bothers me that it doesn’t show the full Lizard transformation. It just keeps cutting away and then showing Lizard at a completely different stage in his transformation. I really want to see his body changing but that’s just a nitpick.
