The conversation in that fight about money, financial issues and a job made this fight somewhat funny, at the same time they're fighting in a small neighborhood where people can hear it all.
Scream exposed Spider-Man for not being a family man lol 😂
It may have been the symbiote talking, but it was also drawing out MJ’s hidden thoughts.
All in all in this official lover’s quarrel, it worked out.
It does make sense. The Symbiote does have the power to bring out all the negative feelings and thoughts a person has.

I'm glad to see a bit more of an obscure symbiote like Scream get some play here. Something that even Web of Shadows fell short with was having other Symbiotes, not just Venom

I absolutely love how Pete and MJ work in these games. First game was a struggle after getting to reconnect with and learning to rely on one another. Second is about understanding each other's burden and not taking one another for granted. It's an incredible romance story and has drama in an interesting and believable way; plus, after they confirmed the "they will" in the 1st game, there is no more "will they, won't they": no matter the issue, they stick together and it makes sense why, they're stronger than ever as a duo and a couple.

I was NOT expecting Scream to make an appearance in this game. This was awesome. Since the big focus was on Venom, I didn’t think they would include any other Symbiotes to keep attention on Venom, but the way they did it was brilliant. It flowed well in the story. Turning MJ into Scream was genius, as well as giving Peter the Anti-Venom suit. I like that Insomniac made these characters their own while still remaining mostly faithful to the comics. Also, I can’t say this enough, but Tony Todd as Venom is one of the greatest comic book castings ever imo. He was incredible in this game.

I just reached this scene tonight. This is probably one if my all time favorite boss fights in the whole game. The open communication between Peter and MJ about their burdens and their struggles, and how they want to be better not just for themselves, but also for each other. I absolutely adore how Peter reassured that everything MJ does matters, that she herself always matters (suck it, MJ haters). This is probably the best version of Peter snd MJ's romance that i hace ever seen. They really do act like partners who try their best to help each other overcome their issues. If this doesn't set a prime example of what true couples should be, then i don't know whet fucking does.
All and all, i cannot stress enough how much I truly loved every moment of this scene. Also, shout out to Yuri Lowenthall and Laura Bailey for their superb voice acting in this scene (and the whole game in general).

I kinda get that, it's what I felt playing this fight, in this game it feels like the resentment MJ has isn't built up as much as it was in the last game, and also doesn't really work with certain things from the start.

You're now wrong. This game is so damn good. It makes the first game look basic and that game was amazing already.
I was so blown away by this game. It's like getting better and better and better. Surprise after surprise. I mean is this the best video game ever made? This masterpiece will be remembered for a long time! And will be the ultimate standard for superhero games! Its unbelievable how creative the devs have been with this sequel!
And if the in-game hints are to be believed, there will be a third game at some point.

In this game happens so much, that you need to play it at least 2-3 through to get immersed in the beautiful story 100%.

Peter constantly apologizing felt so weird to me.
Like, he did nothing wrong at all, and MJ/Scream constantly spewing insults at him, and him just apologizing just felt off like...he is not anywhere close to how she was saying hes like, and Peter is just taking it?

I mean, because in a way... she's right? Spider man stuff is important and he's saved the city countless times, sure, but it's pretty much always at the cost of SOMETHING to Peter, weather it be his physical, mental, or financial health, which in turn reflects on MJ's own life since she's his partner. And Peter to a degree, knows this too. That's why he tells Miles he's taking some time off at the end of the game, to focus on getting Peter Parker's life straight before taking to the streets again.
So he should shout at her back and let the symbiote gain even more control? 😂 You have a brain, use it.
I bet larua bailey had a blast Of not only voicing MJ but as Scream too.
In this boss fight Peter comes to terms with his male privilege.

This boss fight made me cry. No joke. I cried during the fight because it was Peter trying to save MJ from being a corrupt monster, just like how he was when he had the venom symbiote.
He sees what MJ saw when he was in the alien costume and now he has to fight her and get her out of it, all the while, Scream uses the frustration MJ had with Peter to weaken and stall him.
In a meta textual narrative, imagine having to fight your own soul mate and save her at the same time. You would hate to see them become the worst version of themselves.
Peter wasn’t just fighting with his powers in this level, he was fighting with his heart. This was an excellent boss fight that I’m going to remember for a long time.

the moment when you get to play as venom and destroy everyone in oscorp was my absolute highlight. i am a massive venom fan, so this was just a spectacular event do have.
also seeing SCREAM in this was another moment that gave me chills and i had to pause the game for a second to realize what amazing stuff is happening in this very moment

The first time was in the Cartoon of Disney: Ultimate Spiderman. But, of course she was the Queen Carnage.

Honestly this might be my favorite boss in the game scream a better fit for mj than carnage not that it was bad ultimate Spider-Man was god tier the character development between in this fight was peak and while scream was a mid tier threat physically mentally it destroyed Peter the design was fire hell the entire game was fire my only problem was how they handled venom in this game the voice from tony Todd was incredible it just his they wrote him he felt more like carnage than venom and felt way to powerful for venom which now that carnage is a upcoming villain he should be one of the main villain for 3 and not a dlc because if was this strong imagine how he going carnage will be

My favorite bossfight.
I mean like it's very basic "punch the baddie until he's (well, she's) down", but the emotional package this fight carries is through the roof. Not only Peter has fight the powerful symbiote, but he needs to make MJ realise that he care about her and make her feel valid so she could fight the symbiotes manipulation.
There's just something about the animation of Scream throwing peter outside thats just soooo smoooth😂😂. I shouldn't enjoy it as much as i do but it looks good😅.

It was really awesome to see Scream, but I think they could have done more with her, than being a one-off boss battle.
Let Scream get away after the boss fight, and antagonize Peter throughout the game to "embrace the symbiote life" if you will.
Heck, go the Web of Shadows route (Although extremely unlikely for these games), and have a good/bad route. A symbiote Spider-Man could just take Venom's role and rule together with ScreaMJ over the city, aka "be the Spider-Man that can protect everyone."
