Hi Graham, I’ve only come across your page today (1st July 2024), so I’m I don’t qualify for your giveaway comp…
After watching your video, I have to say that, it is very informative. If you were a salesman for Peggy Pegs then I’d be your number 1 customer!!

Thanks for watching, welcome aboard. Most of my videos aren’t as “sales” based 😆Some might argue they’re not as informative either haha. I should let you make your own mind up 🤔

Not convinced you will have to try them out at Trewethett Farm on a windy day 😉😂 seriously though Graham they do look very good and I really like the screw down orange nut, I will definitely be giving them a try

Well done Graham you just cost me £100 for knock in screw out pegs. I have seen them before but never sure but you convinced me. Keep up the good vids - always entertaining.

I have not seen these pegs before Graham, you made it look easy with the drill. We did have some drill pegs but they had plastic hooks at the top which got caught on awning straps, useless! Great demo, cheers

I've not used those grass ones before and they are good. But not normally on grass, so use the aluminium ones.
      Thanks for watching

Have you ever considered that the use of an awning may cause the separation of the sealant adjoining the side of the caravan to the roof, especially when high loads are applied by storm straps etc. or in high winds. The sealant under the awning rail degrades over time anyway, hidden from sight, even without the sideways force applied with a tethered awning which may accelerate water ingress at this vulnerable point. Also, high load pegs may add to the problem ?

Thanks for watching. No, not something i've considered. TBH with caravans we have enough to worry about. If I'm going to use an awning, there's not a lot I can do to prevent it happening, if it does...

@CaravanVlogger yes most caravans are cheaply made and or badly constructed for strength and against water ingress, particularly newer ones. My caravan had water ingress leaking in from the awning rail, which has now been repaired along with interior damage. The sealant is all that prevents it. As caravans age the sealant beneath the awning rails on both sides degrades and dries out, unseen. Not very good ! My tip is to get the sealant under the awning rails changed at the caravan's 10 th birthday but even this may not be enough on newer models of particular makes ?
