Welcome back. I can relate to the feeling of having spent time in nice cool weather only to step off the plane back into 100degf + weather. Makes one want to crawl back in and head back. This mindset you mentioned of people waking up to the fact that the state is reaching deeper and deeper into their pockets making people rethink whether it's worth dedicating so much of their time to work only to have those earnings picked from their pockets is growing. To add insult to that injury the politicians are stealing that money and or wasting it on things that do NOT serve the public.

Hello Warren. We hope you had a nice holiday. We like your mobile stool. We are still using empty 5 gallon drums for sitting on in our work shop. We are behind the times with some things. Someone was commenting on our work shop lifting gear. I use a old 360 track machine. It's a Daewoo 13 tonner it will lift what we want it to.
I just finished a shuttle rebuild on my Case 580SE and I wish I had paid more attention to that piston seal, just like you warned us. It got slightly cut and the result was no ni pressure and no reverse gear. So out it came to be replaced. PITA. I'm 76 yo and can vouch that the shuttle is heavy. lol. I don't know how you do this work day after day and maintain your good nature. Much respect.
Warn had a conversation today with a guy about the same thing. You can’t make any money anymore. It’s just pay the bills and survive. And I’m happy if I can do that. I see these guys buying these new service trucks and I’m glad they can. But me personally I can’t see how I could afford one!! And at my age I don’t think I want to!!! Been to Alaska once. Beautiful place, Glad you went.
Hey your back, great to get some cool down time as busy as you always are, I woulda taken a week longer. Grew up i Southern Cal in the 60's and 70's and always looked forward to get out of that hot pit for at least a weekend a year. When we visited relatives in Idaho one summer I was hooked on the cool, clean, natural beauty of the place I moved away after high school. I like seeing these type of videos, seeing the inside of what makes the machine move is very educational.
A few years ago i went to Seward halibut fishing trying to get them off the bottom is quite a battle but loads of fun glad to see you relaxing you need it

Get a good reputation, treat people honestly and fairly. Do good work and admit when you fuck up and make it right. Work hard and that is all it takes. Obviously need tools/shop/skills/truck too.
I just gone with a 9500 combine that blow up last fall. The service manager ordered a long block 7.6 liter engine for this combine. It had a nip pump on it but tye block was for a Bosch pump mount and we had geta new fuel system. New controller and engine harness. Reman controller was bad and programming problems. Working on sprayers and working on it when I have time.
I listened to what you said about not working such long hours as it’s not worth it. I feel the same after a holiday. A week later I’m back doing really long days. It’s just the way we are I guess Warren.

What’s really funny is people watch your videos and think they know you. They think if they call you up you should know them by name. Stupid question, but the pin pad on the truck doesn't work? guy I work with is bad about loosing his keys, so he locks them in the truck, and opens the door with the pin pad

If you don't know anyone well you're going to have to go in person with ID, or look for the code on a sticker hidden under the dash.
