ICSE has common syllabus. Every school has different text books from any 1 of 12 publications. only publication is different. But we follow the common syllabus. For example , Mathematics , school selects the text book of 1 publication. That selected text book as a tool to complete syllabus. Then for practice questions will be taken from different publications.
So students can answer any question from any book, because all the concepts will be taught clearly using one text book then that concepts will be practiced by using other text books. So students can answer from any book easily. because they know the concept. This is the speciality of ICSE syllabus. It is concept based- understanding, analysing, applying .
