I agree with that sentiment, because it’s hilarious to watch, but I _do_ actually get tired after awhile, hearing these copy-pasted, cookie cutter clowns, stumbling around in the dark, fumbling and stuttering with their own words, constantly trying to search their memories on the spot for whatever _“enlightened” rich white guy_ they’re watching or listening to.
Though of course, how else would we deprogram these (obviously low information/misinformed) people without engaging with them? That’s part why I love Sam. He honestly has SO MUCH more patience than I would have with guys like these lol

I do, it seems like with every new generation we’re having to reiterate what older generations have known for decades.
My question is, does this represent a failure of our public school system? Because I learned this shit in middle school. How is it that 20 somethings are still in the dark about this?

All I said that I was a Libertarian. The only thing I fleshed out was that I believed in property rights, no regulations nor minimum wage.
I did facepalm when he asked me what community I had in mind and I responded with something that had nothing to do with the question. I'm not tone deaf towards my social mistakes and hopefully I can improve.

@Emeril Lugosi I appreciate your point, and I'm sure we have much to learn from the hunter-gatherers. But most modern conceptions of socialism include mass industrialization, which makes any potential socialist future quite different from however any pre-industrial societies lived. I argue that these imaginings of an alternative mode of production (modern socialist theory) are independent from whatever modes of production or social organization prevailed in hunter-gatherer societies, even if there is overlap. And I argue that the idea of transitioning beyond capitalism is only imaginable within capitalism. This is a framework which accounts for the world capital has created, implementing and co-opting some of its infrastructure. There is a difference between "beyond capitalism" and "outside capitalism". I would put modern socialist theory in the former group, and pre-modern hunter-gatherer societies in the latter.

That's not true whatsoever, but Sam sure does have a way to attract these brain dead libertarians who don't have a clue what they are advocating for lol. I'm suspicious if they are just playing a part for the video and don't actually believe that. But, there are lots of idiots out there, so... it's believable.
The very fact we can't depend on everyone being charitable and peaceful is exactly why many libertarians and ancaps believe the power of the state needs to be eliminated. We prefer everyone compete on a level playing ground, and not give the monopoly of violence to a group of bureaucrats who tend to be very authoritarian.
Private ownership of natural resources provides huge incentives to protecting and preserving that resource. A homeowner with valuable river access doesn't want it to become polluted. They want it to be clean for their kids to play in, or so that their property value stays high to one day sell. Now think about this for businesses who depend on the river.
Someone upstream polluting their owned portion of the river, which then affects downstream, would be a phenomenal opportunity for legal action. And yes, libertarianism/ anarcho-capitalism does not mean lawlessness. If that's a foreign concept to you, then you don't actually understand enough about the ideology to criticize it.
Put simply, private ownership of natural resources completely negates the tragedy of the commons. Because it's no longer private ownership.

If you understood how useless the fire department is, you wouldn't be saying that. 90 percent of firefighters aren't even used to put out fires and when there are fires to be put out, they end up already getting put out by regular people that have access to nearby extinguishers. If not get rid of the department, at least reduce it's role to save on tax payer money.

The home owners were given a choice, watch your house burn or sell your burning house for chump change. Although he was the richest third of the club his Generalship wasn’t as impressive as his colleagues. It was 20 years since he led the legions to defeat Spartacus and even then Pompey stole half his valor by catching a band of slaves that escaped the battle. Crassus in his 60s decided to invade Parthia to conquer new territory for Rome and become an equal with Pompey and Caesar . He personally paid for his own legions equal of 40K men. He paid for local scouts that betrayed him and led his armies in circles through the desert and when they were desperate enough Parthia attacks and defeats him. He finally try’s to suing for peace with Parthia. In the meeting Legend says knowing how greedy Crassus was they killed him by pouring moulten gold down his throat and used his head as a prized decoration.

    Libertarian Cop, 2014
    By Tom O'Donnell
"I was shooting heroin and reading “The Fountainhead” in the front seat of my privately owned police cruiser when a call came in. I put a quarter in the radio to activate it. It was the chief.
“Bad news, detective. We got a situation.”
“What? Is the mayor trying to ban trans fats again?”
“Worse. Somebody just stole four hundred and forty-seven million dollars’ worth of bitcoins.”
The heroin needle practically fell out of my arm. “What kind of monster would do something like that? Bitcoins are the ultimate currency: virtual, anonymous, stateless. They represent true economic freedom, not subject to arbitrary manipulation by any government. Do we have any leads?”
“Not yet. But mark my words: we’re going to figure out who did this and we’re going to take them down … provided someone pays us a fair market rate to do so.”
“Easy, chief,” I said. “Any rate the market offers is, by definition, fair.”
He laughed. “That’s why you’re the best I got, Lisowski. Now you get out there and find those bitcoins.”
    “Don’t worry,” I said. “I’m on it.”
I put a quarter in the siren. Ten minutes later, I was on the scene. It was a normal office building, strangled on all sides by public sidewalks. I hopped over them and went inside.
“Home Depot™ Presents the Police!®” I said, flashing my badge and my gun and a small picture of Ron Paul. “Nobody move unless you want to!” They didn’t.
“Now, which one of you punks is going to pay me to investigate this crime?” No one spoke up.
“Come on,” I said. “Don’t you all understand that the protection of private property is the foundation of all personal liberty?”
It didn’t seem like they did.
“Seriously, guys. Without a strong economic motivator, I’m just going to stand here and not solve this case. Cash is fine, but I prefer being paid in gold bullion or autographed Penn Jillette posters.”
Nothing. These people were stonewalling me. It almost seemed like they didn’t care that a fortune in computer money invented to buy drugs was missing.
I figured I could wait them out. I lit several cigarettes indoors. A pregnant lady coughed, and I told her that secondhand smoke is a myth. Just then, a man in glasses made a break for it.
“Subway™ Eat Fresh and Freeze, Scumbag!®” I yelled.
Too late. He was already out the front door. I went after him.
“Stop right there!” I yelled as I ran. He was faster than me because I always try to avoid stepping on public sidewalks. Our country needs a private-sidewalk voucher system, but, thanks to the incestuous interplay between our corrupt federal government and the public-sidewalk lobby, it will never happen.
I was losing him. “Listen, I’ll pay you to stop!” I yelled. “What would you consider an appropriate price point for stopping? I’ll offer you a thirteenth of an ounce of gold and a gently worn ‘Bob Barr ‘08’ extra-large long-sleeved men’s T-shirt!”
He turned. In his hand was a revolver that the Constitution said he had every right to own. He fired at me and missed. I pulled my own gun, put a quarter in it, and fired back. The bullet lodged in a U.S.P.S. mailbox less than a foot from his head. I shot the mailbox again, on purpose.
“All right, all right!” the man yelled, throwing down his weapon. “I give up, cop! I confess: I took the bitcoins.”
“Why’d you do it?” I asked, as I slapped a pair of Oikos™ Greek Yogurt Presents Handcuffs® on the guy.
    “Because I was afraid.”
    “Afraid?”
“Afraid of an economic future free from the pernicious meddling of central bankers,” he said. “I’m a central banker.”
I wanted to coldcock the guy. Years ago, a central banker killed my partner. Instead, I shook my head.
“Let this be a message to all your central-banker friends out on the street,” I said. “No matter how many bitcoins you steal, you’ll never take away the dream of an open society based on the principles of personal and economic freedom.”
He nodded, because he knew I was right. Then he swiped his credit card to pay me for arresting him."
