When i was a kid in Vietnam, there were a middle age couple, selling sugarcane juice all their lives raising a family. It used to be a hand-crank type but later upgraded to a motorized like this. Watching this make me think of them, a little cart, a long time ago… hope they live happily into their old age.

I live in South China and this is one of my favorite drinks during summer time. Refreshing, sweet and much, much better for you than those sugar-water carbonate (or not) drinks. All natural, and if you don't want to drink it, you always can chew the cane!

One of my favorite drink since childhood, In India we also to sprinkle a little mixture of salt (usually rock salt) and black pepper etc.
You are doing it with cleanliness and perfection. Only a small suggestion to young lady, please avoid wearing such loose jacket or shirt when (or atleast close it properly) working such closely to any crushing machine 👍👍

Sugar cane juice is surely the best drink for me. I tried it for the first time when I was strolling around in Hanoi streets under shining hot sun during a trip like eight years ago. Absolutely perfect drink. But I remembered I got it with a slice of lemon. It boosted the taste. 👍

I LOVE SUGAR CANE, this is so common in Brazil, we call "caldo de cana" cane juice, is so good with mineral ice, lemon and Pastel "looks like a calzoni", OMG I NEED TASTY AGAIN

You will find this made exactly the same way at popular sea side cities and towns in Indonesia too, squeezed fresh from the cane and icy cold it is absolutely amazing, I first thought it looked strange and unappealing this murky looking liquid squeezed out of what looks like fibrous wood or bamboo, but served in a big cup of ice it is delicious and thirst quenching, sweet but not too sweet like softdrink.

I love cambodian sugarcane juice so much! The taste is superb! What lime are they using for this sugarcane juice?
In Vietnam, we add a small tart tangerine to balance the sweetness (with a hint of tartness) and enhance the aroma!!!! 😍 a cup cost about 25 cents (1/4 of US dollar)…..but this is a BIGGER CUP!! so 75 cents (3/4 of a US dollar is good).
