Totally understand if you wanna keep your vintage world separate from your nursing world, but as a fellow nursing student who also admires vintage I want to say thank you for having such wholesome and consistently lovely content. The level of ease and simplicity at home and in mind is what I want to achieve. A great balm for this frazzled brain 😇

I love your content so much. You do such an amazing job in your portrayal of the time period. There's something i find very comforting about watching a day in the life in the 40s, 50s, 60s area.. i'm not even sure as to why seeing as i was born long after in 1997 😂 I think its the simplicity that the world today doesn't have thanks to all the technology we now have in our lives, i really think it's taken us over and is making us all really unhealthy. To think people use to wake up, get ready for their day, go out to actual shops to buy necessities, socialize with people face to face and take better care of themselves which seems to be slipping with a lot of us today thanks to the abundance of convenience we now have. I also love that people would still sit down together and have set meals as a family every day. I know that time area was far from perfect, and i'm so grateful for all we have now but i do think some of our old values should be bought back ❤

I’ve had regular red hens and a rooster and also a Bantam hen and a bantam rooster. The bantam hen sat on her tiny eggs and hatched tiny chicks. The chicks were tiny! She was such a good mother and warmed her chicks by having them huddle under her wings. Watching them follow her and peck and scratch imitating her just about Burst my heart. I also had a cosleeper when my baby was born and I was able to breast-feed and change the diaper in the night without getting out of bed. It was the most wonderful thing Besides my baby jogger which my toddler absolutely loved and was in until he was about five. He would crawl into it ready to go on a trip with me and our beautiful pitbull who was also his informal nanny and playmate.

Just a little anti crow tip. If you hang something from a tree that looks like black feathers… they will usually avoid that area…OR my nana’s trick is to hang a few reflective things from a tree near where you don’t want them to go. Neither is fool-proof but they do seem to help.

@@SageLilleyman Another tip about crows. They have been proven to be one of the worlds smartest birds. If they see a dead crow, they will avoid your property for two or three years. If you run across a dead crow, as gross as it sounds, take it and put it in your back yard for a week or so. You may be able to make a fake one if you can't find one. You can die chicken and turkey feathers black and make a dummy.

That is definitely a big part of why women didn’t work outside the home, unless dirty nappies, as a result of lack of control over fertility. Are your jeans vintage? Or reproduction? I'm asking because I know I had a pair of jeans with same pocket detail circa 1986! :~) They weren't long enough to cuff, however. As with most post 1983 (the year I graduated from high school) denim, they were high waisted with a tapered leg, where as yours appear to be a straight or full leg. I won't lie, I miss 1980-something denim...they actually worked rather well on my body type.
