Love this blanket. I've never attempted mosaic but because your teaching makes things much easier than one would think that I'm going to be brave and start it as my next project. I've really wanted to try mosaic crochet, and always thought it would be fun to try and afghan kit. Whenever I'm able to, I'm definitely getting this kit. I love the black with the colorful yarn; it reminds me of a stained glass window.

Am not familiar with American yarn weights.
A size 4 hook, is usually used with an 8ply yarn, which may be equivalent to your DK yarn.
Love the mosaic pattern. I'm making one that looks a bit like a houndstooth pattern.
