I felt like an ass because I made a comment on one of your videos about you having questions in theory and since you know the Mixolydian scale you know theory. It s just that most banjo player know little theory. You are amazing by the way.
Love this song ....tried to learn some of it before but wirh your here I will nail it. Just one question you mentioned calico deering banjo. I have a Sierra Deering. I heard there not much difference in sound between the two .....please correct me if I am wrong. I was told the more a played and let my Sierra get dirty (like not over clean it) that the sound would mellow. It is very bright not forgiving.

I hear you man. Deering makes awesome banjos but some of them are pricey. Have you checked out the Deering Calico?
