Seeing all of the long shots by Sullivan on here, makes me a little sad about how bad he was at them in the finals.
Idk what got into him. He played amazingly throughout and then dropped the finals completely

What is this type of pool called. Like what would I google to find the rules to understand what I just watched. Like one time he just tapped a ball, didn’t go in a hole, and it was amazing? That doesn’t make sense because I have no idea what the points system is. Any help in this would be appreciated.

The reason you see "safety shots" is simple, if they can't pot a ball, or it's simply too high risk (percentage wise) (lets say they'd calculate only potting a specific ball 4 times out of 10 in there head, they may see it more wise playing a shot that creates trouble for your opponent instead) (sometimes you'll see shots you think they can pot, but they will deny for this reason alone) in these circumstances you have to try and make your opponents move as awkward as possible (much like chess) hoping you will create a better chance next time round, The aim of snooker is to build "breaks" which consist of Potting a red, colour, red, colour and so on, colours differ in points, while reds are 1 point. The person who scores most points win.

It was spinning slightly, and the coloured balls are super polished. Table was balanced.
Trump usually has some crazy shots, but he doesn't pay too much attention for where the cue ball is gonna land

Those are just casual shots, here no one will bat an eye for such easy shots. Is it really that impressive?
That last red pot is an incredibly lucky shot. I played for about 10 years, 8 ball, 9 ball bar tables and well as neighborhood pool halls. I was pretty good and so were the people I knew. That kiss off of the center pocket tit can be called...in a pinch but most of the times I saw it happen or hit it myself, it was always been dumb luck.
