- A snippet of what my job as a breakfast chef is like. My commercial cookery training is put to good use and I am loving it.
Many people would think that being a chef in a breakfast cafe is easier. But ask any chef and they will tell you otherwise. The sauces you'll see in the video are all made fresh everyday. The video was recoded on a Monday where it's usually not busy. We have time to prepare for everything and of course have time to play with my camera. Weekend is a totally different scenario. IT IS CRAZY BUSY like i don't even have time to wipe the sweat off of my face busy. The preps you'll see in the video are only done weekdays to prepare for weekend. Breakfast and lunches are a big thing here in Melbourne, not to mention coffee.
I hope ya'll enjoy the video!
xoxo

Extremely underrated video! Know how it feels working in my parent's cafe in the kitchen - especially when it gets crazy busy. Keep it up!
I went from fine dining to try out being a breakfast chef for 6 months and learned that it wasn't for me. Loved the fact that I was home by 4pm everyday but having to be up before the sun's up wasn't for me. Learned real fast that I wasn't built for early mornings.
Are u back doing fine dining?
@@acdyrit is being a chef even worth it?Working long hours physically plus i thing the money is not great too
@@ko-kf2nu depend of which country, always heard bad thing in US about long hours but not in Australia 😀
@@ko-kf2nu sure that's a case but some people a just passionate about food.
@@acdyrit Hi can I work with you?
Awesome video. Never worked in food service, but I respect the work so much and love to watch everyone in action in the kitchen and dining hall.

It feels like it's nice to have you as a workmate. You're very nice to the trainee and you're very hardworking.

The prep work is very tedious but the net result is well organized delicious meals and an outstanding staff wonderful video!
As a fellow chef that coolroom especially made me smile how organised and professional it looked. Dont miss breakfast shifts but haha. Well done chef.

She's a beautiful chef/cook I love her uniform especially her checkered pants
Where you rice cooker at?
Hi AC, thanks for your video, I was planning to study in AU next year once the border will open. Is it difficult to find a job as a chef? If you don't have experienced yet and you just recently graduated to your cert 3 in cookery? Are there any companies that will likely hire you despite having less experience? The only experience I do have is my 4 years kitchen crew in a fast-food chain and being an assistant manager for 3 years in a restaurant but never worked as a chef yet. I will appreciate your input Thank you :)
Hi! It is hard to get a chef job if you don't have experience. Chefs usually start from kitchen hand and progress from there. Just like me. Sad to say our experience from the Philippines does not really count that much. Establishments usually prefer experience in Australia. But if you're confident with cooking, they will see that during a trial. :)
@@acdyrit Thank you AC, I appreciate you responded to my questions. God bless
ma'am pwedi po ba mag tanong, kung mag aaral po ako ng cookery jan.eh tatanggapin nila ang 8yrs experience ko dito sa saudi.line cook po at pizza cook ang experience ko salamat po if ma pansin
Hello! Yes po, most agencies po would discourage people to enrol na walang background connected sa course. So for you po, it should be easy.
Can you teach me how to make hollandise sauce with that machine?
I used to work as breakfast/lunch chef in cafe in Melbourne as well, but now no thanks.. so tiring
I feel you 🥲
San ka po nag aral ng cookery at san ka nag work na related doon before ka dyan po
Where is it, that would help.
Hi...if i do a chef course in Australia...(but i have no experience in my country) is it going to be hard to find a job as a cook or chef??...is it not a good choice to get pr??
I did not have any kitchen experience at all when I applied but I expressed my passion for cooking. Giving the immigration any hint about the intention to get a PR will definitely negatively impact your application.
What´s this Cafe location called chef?
wow! I am 46 years old, I would like to learn to make dishes like you. Do you have videos on how to prepare them? fine channel
Maybe ill make some soon. :)
Australia and their wierd way of making Hollandaise always gets me😂
No sabayon,....
but it's alright... ish...
At school we are taught differently. I guess this is the faster way to make hollandaise 😁
When I saw you using the burr mixer and the bucket is on the floor I cringed!! Please keep the bucket off the floor, that isn't a construction site!!
Ilang oras ka po nag wwork n a day?
8 to 9 hours po 😊
“Big fella” gahahahah
Looks like compared to Qatar kitchen standard sanitation food hygiene not at all. But nice work.
Sausage, eggs, bacon and beans ... and, well, nothing `else thanks.
Be careful only eating egg whites with out egg yolks. It gives arthritis pain. And no pain in the joints is very important for chefs…
Mor videos breakfast chefs please
No morning shower atold 😂 hmm
what shower?? 🥶🥶🥶
