It holds perfectly but only works where there is quite a bit of wool in the yarn because it is based on the wool fibers blending like in felting. But it works even if the wool is superwash like the one I'm using on the video.
It needs to have some wool content, about 30% minimum. The one I'm using on the video is 100% wool. The more wool the better it works. Acrylic is plastic and doesn't stick and cotton is too hard. Alpaca and other animal fibers work.
@@TuulaMaariamost of the alpaca i work with is single strand, maybe 2 strand lace weight. As much as i hate weaving in ends, does this work with thin animal fiber yarns? It does on camel and yak, i know. Havent been brave with soft alpaca.
ALWAYS...something new with Tuula !!!!! Thank you
😊
Is worth to try, next time I do crocheting, I'll use this suggestion!.. 🙂👍Thank You so much, love Your teachings!👌😍
Great, thank you!
😲it’s like magic!! ❤🪄 Thank you for sharing! ☮️

The yarn will need some animal fiber like wool or alpaca in it for this join to work because you are felting the fibers together at that point
Yes,that's why I added the text about that in the video.
Who knew, love this.
Wow mind blown, imma bout 2 try this now
Nice short demonstration!

Will this work with any yarn or just wool?

@@ecouturehandmades5166 it will probably work but the join will be bulkier than the rest of the yarn
I can’t trust that I’m scared that it will team come out after I am done with project
If it blended well it won't come out! But the yarn needs to have a lot of wool content.
🧶❤️👏👏👏🥰👍😍😘
