A Jing pyraminx has all edges with two orientations, while a skewb's "edges" have only one orientation. On the other hand, the 4 centers of Jing pyraminx have only one orientation, while their equivalent corners in skewb has three orientations.
The rex cube looks good, very excited to get my hands on one! The way you were solving it is cool too - try reducing to an ivy cube and then solving the ivy cube. Their instructions are for a really inefficient cage method, but it gets the job done. If you get stuck or just curious, I have some walkthrough solves using different methods! Going to make tutorials when mine arrives though. Nice video!
I have been enjoying the super ivy cube for a while now - the leaflet says solve the edges then the centres then the corners. So far I can solve the edges and centres intuitively. The corner pyraminx I solved intuitively except for a corner parity that needs swapping. Loving these puzzles - hoping to figure out / learn a method for them soon...
These puzzles are really cool looking, but if you have a good understanding of them, quite easy to solve. The pyraminx is basically a truncated skewb, and kind of like a pyraminx with no tips. The second one is a rex cube, it is fairly simple to solve edges, centers, than petals, using sledge hammer type moves to pass around the centers and petals after you solve the edges. The third puzzle is just a skewed gear cube. Solve as you would a standard gear cube. Thanks for the video, and hey, you seem stressed. Make sure you are relaxing once in a while. You are a fantastic guy, and I look up to you as a cuber, and as a musician. Stay strong.
that is the Axis-cube- version of their normal 3x3 Gear cube In my opinion they shouldnt invent new names for already existing things, it makes everything even more confusing
Don't get me wrong but you vs me is a perfect example of speed cuber vs puzzle solver. You can solve 3x3 in 10 seconds, I can solve it in 1 minute. But Jinx pyraminx and Rex cube for you are difficult puzzles and for me they are trivial and very good for starting real puzzle solving.
@@hog_hedge My top 5 puzzles are Royal Pyraminx, Elite Skewb, Master FTO, 4x5x6 cuboid and V-Sphere. Beside those I love to solve all cuboids , Mirror cubes, Ghost cubes, all kinds of crazy circle cubes , Mastermorphixes, Dodekahedrones and list goes on...
I saw what you said on tingmans video and I thought it was very good. On the second puzzle you have to solve the outer edges first then the inside . I entered your givaway for the gan infinity btw

It looks like you really need to learn and understand the EPS ( edge piece series ) method !! And also the CPS ( corner piece series ) . One can easily solve hundreds of twisty puzzles just by using this EPS and CPS methods. Cheers 😀😎😂 ( I have learned it from a guy name " Rline " ).

2:06 “How do I un-backwards it”, why do I think that’s so funny?🤔😂😂
Super ivy cube = rex cube, the pyraminx one is a Jing's pyraminx
I thought its a 3x3x3....or not?
@@kidfineful nope. It's like a pyraminx with skewb-like centers

You almost got a headache from solving and I got a bellyache from laughing cause this could be a portrayal of me.

I love how you managed to make the editing passive aggressive. Funniest video in a while!
Yes!! I’ve been waiting for this video since QiYi released these cool puzzles!!

Wow, QiYi stumped him 3 in a row. Those puzzles look crazy.
I love tiled cubes, it doesn't peel off like stickers and still have black borders
Woah that skews/pryaminx lookin puzzle looks so sick dude. Another great vid Sean, much appreciated

I watched zero solve but I enjoyed 100 % thanks for the video
yes 4:08 is very lovely pattern

Oof can't solve thats how I felt when I first started
Corner mastermorphix can be solved with mostly pyraminx algs.
Moyu released that pyramid thing a while back. Just solve it like a pyraminx and then fix the centers by doing a bunch of sledgehammers.
You just need three down down up ups to change the centers without bothering the edges.

Legend has it that all three remain unsolved to this day...
I'm only 2 PLLs away from knowing all of full PLL!

Rex Cube should be an event
What do you think are some non-wca puzzles that are not that hard to solve but not too trivial, and fun to solve?
Calvin's 4x4x6, Fisher 4x4, Axis 4x4, Rex Cube or WitEden Mixup Plus are good solves and not too difficult.
what happened to the shorts? they don't come as often
Please solve a ghost cube without centers and make a tutorial on it please 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Well nice colours that's for sure. But naaa 🤣
I think the gear one is actually an axis gear cube
That's what they initially said but the recent advertisements from the company have been calling it "crazy" instead of "axis"
Nice
